Bandit 15xp with psi 5.7 gas engine opinions

Thank you for your reply, although research was very limited as far as psi engines I decided to pass on the chipper with the PSI and bought one with the Ford 6.2. I only have about 25 hours on the engine but it seems to work pretty well, it's a beast!! Was very concerned about going to a gas...

    Echo 2511T bar

Has anyone found a .043 stihl bar that does not have to be modified for these 2511s? I realize this thread is pretty old but I'm wanting to put a 3/8 .043 bar and chain on my 2511 and having a hard time finding a solution. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Need some advice on echo 2511

Hey guys I have ran the 3/8 .050 chain on my 2511 and still think it needs something smaller. Anyone know which Stihl 14" chain would work? Wanting to try 3/8 .043. I realize I will need to change the bar but does the sprocket need to be changed if I step down to .043?

Bandit 15xp with psi 5.7 gas engine opinions

Thank you, yes the 5.7 is a great engine but in this case it is only the block that is GM. I know nothing about the PSI ( power solutions industry) engine so that's what concerns me. The chipper is at a decent price, much cheaper than brand new so if it wasn't for that I would just get a brand...

Bandit 15xp with psi 5.7 gas engine opinions

Diesels are generally about a 30% price mark up. The thing that is more concerning to me is all the emissions crap like DPF they put on diesels now days. If it wasn't for that I would get a diesel hands down. The 15 XP is more than enough chipper I am just worried about running a gas engine in it.

Bandit 15xp with psi 5.7 gas engine opinions

Hey guys I'm looking at purchasing a new chipper and ran across a bandit 15 XP with a PSI 5.7 l 165 horsepower gas engine. I know nothing about these engines other than the fact that the block ( only the block) is a GM. Anybody know if these are any good?

Is this a good vintage homelite saw?

Ok I have a whole tool box full of Stihl top handles for work, just wasn't sure if this was a good collector saw. Sounds like it's not so I will leave it alone, thanks for the replies

Is this a good vintage homelite saw?

Not sure if it runs, I doubt it, needs a pull cord.

Is this a good vintage homelite saw?

Someone close by to me is selling this old homelite saw for really cheap, wasn't sure if this was a sought after saw or not. I personally have no experience with homelite , I have been running stihl for over 20 years now but always see people talking about homelite saws on here so figured I...

Wow thanks for all the replies! Sorry I'm late to the party, I never saw a notification that there was a response to this thread so just now checking. So could just be a coincidence but I couldn't even get the saw to start and run longer than a couple seconds before i added the seafoam...

Help with a Ms 462-c newish saw won't idle

Hey all, I recently purchased a Ms 462c , The saw is brand new and has never been used but it is almost 3 years old. The guy I bought it from never used it. I got a good deal on it so I took a chance. When I first tried starting it in the choke position it was flooding really bad, to the point...

    ART Positioner question

Hey guys I finally got a ART Positioner as it was recently on sale. After taking it apart to install it on my tritech flip line and trying it out in the garage I noticed that I was easily able to release under load but tending slack doesn't seem to be as smooth as I thought it would be. It works...

    Best way to decend ddrt?

Thank you for your detailed reply mac56. I did recently purchase yale blue moon 11.7 and really like it a lot. I like the munter hitch idea and will give that a shot. The art positioner seems like a love it or hate it between all the reviews I've read but would like to give that a shot as well...

    Best way to decend ddrt?

😬😬😬, It would be awesome if they came up with a double action lever to avoid this from happening. Maybe like a button that you can push on the lever before you can release it, that way you can still use one hand. All these gadgets keep evolving, looking forward to what they come up with next 👍

    Best way to decend ddrt?

Damn I wish I would have ordered one of those, I must have been thinking of something else because it says right in the description it can be released under load lol. I might just have to get one and find another use for my pinto pulley. Have you ever accidentally hit the button and gone for a...

    Best way to decend ddrt?

I looked into those art positioners as well but not being able to release under load kinda turned me off, at least that's what some of the reviews said. I just got back into climbing since my back is doing better and got the hitch climber ecentric not to long ago. It is soooo much nicer than...

    Best way to decend ddrt?

Thanks benjo, I looked pretty hard at the rope runner pro especially since it's on sale right now. How do you like it for ddrt? Did you find it to be big and clunky? It looks pretty large in the videos I've seen. I will have to look into the telescoping hook, there has been many times where it...

    Best way to decend ddrt?

Hey guys just curious If you have any peice of climbing or rigging equipment that you use all the time that's really helpful to have? Something you have that you didn't know how you did without it. I have some more money to spend on my tree stuff credit so trying to find something that will be...

    Best way to decend ddrt?

ATH thank you for your replies. Would like to try a mechanical device but so many to chose from its mind boggling. Seems there is pros and cons to all of them, zig zag is great but not midline attachable, rope runner pro is big and clunky, akimbo is nice and small but a lot of mixed reviews...
