    Dump trailers

I bought a used u-dump gooseneck 7x14 with 4' sides on it. It's not a beauty queen but I sure do love having to just back up and dump. What I've learned with the tall sides is that it will hold a LOT of brush if you cut it down and ratchet straps it down. I found mine used for 2,500.00 dollars...

    Husqvarna 550 piston seized.

I have read about the 550 and 562 having issues with it running lean and burning up the saw. The other day my 550 just bit the dust. Wouldn't crank back up or anything. Took it to shop said no compression pulled the cylinder off and piston was seized. It's out of warranty and Husqvarna didn't...

Ready for next equipment purchase - log removal equipment

Cheapest route is good dual axle utility trailer 16' or 18' long. Might not look as professional but will definitely do the job short term Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

Fun question. What saw should I get next?

I'm in the tree business and run husky 550xps next to 445 saws pretty often. Both get the job done efficiently. If I wasn't cutting every day then a good 50cc or 60cc saw would be all I need for just firewood. But I am cheap too. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    Help with first bid

How much experience in climbing do you have? Just one tree would be a BUNCH of clean up. More wood just seems to appear when it's on the ground Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    Noob Firewood business

If you're investing $1300 dollars in two good pro grade chainsaws then you should definitely get atleast a good dual axle trailer maybe even a 6x10 dump trailer. Wood is heavier than you think and 5k will add up quick on a trailer. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

How did you guys get over heights

My main thing is landscaping and lawn care so that's what I train my help the most on. I have had several people that was just there to help carry wood and load branches. One whispers to the other "I could have just cut it whole, that cement wouldn't break." Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

How did you guys get over heights

Yes I find if I just stay concentrated at first I'm fine. I just know what I'm trying to do and try to ever think about how high I am. I've heard guys tell me it didn't bother them a bit. Others say they're nervous the whole time but they get comfortable Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

How did you guys get over heights

So I've been climbing on and off for going on maybe 2 years now. A guy that taught me everything from the beginning, has 20 years under his belt climbing. But I'm curious how any of you guys got over being up that high, like being a little nervous. I'm mean 65-70 ft + Sent from my XT1650 using...

Pick up truck load price of firewood

I stack my wood bed height and it is stacked on my trailer too. I'm running behind I believe this year. I'm going to just stock pile the wood up instead of stacking it all just to load on to my truck . I have a 8 acre field with a barn I've started using to store wood at my place

A regular Chevy 1500. The beds is a long bed I believe. I have taller sides on my trailer so I can pull more wood

Pick up truck load price of firewood

Yeah a regular half cord pick up truck full. You must remember I didn't deliver too many loads of wood in that truck. I received a bit of help from a relative with his ldump body truck. I supplied a store with atleast 20 cords or wood also.
