    How to convince wife

This was our first saw and it's great. Love usin it. But I gotta agree w/ the others who say take at least a 15-20 cc jump for yer next saw, probly the 562xp if I were doing it. BTW...the extra power is probably the best ally you'll find to help you persuade her/justify another saw. But if you...

365 XT carb settings after limiter cap removal???

I can't help except to bump it again. Still have ours factory stock and are at 1.5 out for H (at 40:1) which is where the limiting tabs stop it.

    David Bradley????

Sure. I'd like to rebuild one. Think they look "classic" and epitomize retro. Think there were enuf made too that finding parts should be a fairly straightforward proposition. Check out acres internet.com...he has several and recently had a few for sale on eBay. Got pics?

    My 346XP ported by Dozerdan - pics+vids

I'm not a big fan of the cliche' "like a hot knife thru butter," mostly cuz it almost never is, but in yer case...pass the jam.

Most Powerful 50cc Chainsaw Ever Built

After it finished I thought I saw a Husky handle stickin out from the bottom center frame, so I played that...it was a Lewis winch. Wow. Now there's sum serious power.

    I got my chainsaw....

There ya go. That makes sense. They reserve vids for the strongest songs (this wouldn't be one), and Stihl probly offered to pay for the shoot. Good call.

    I got my chainsaw....

Enuf for us to know that they did. No subtlety here. Weird. Makes me wonder who wrote what for whom? I mean, it isn't as though someone at Stihl reads the Nashville trades lookin for a song that's in development and in the hope that a possible forthcoming video of it will be custom made for such...

    Full-blown newb advice

You'll not only be fine, but I predict that you'll like it so much you'll want two. I cut off a toe nail trying to turn a chainsaw over to cut a heating/ac vent in a floor back in my construction days. That said, I have to be more careful with my RAS and table saw than I do the chainsaws...

    Full-blown newb advice

Cuz if Trailtrimmer's hyperbolic "blow down under compression, tension and torque" falls on him, he'll want a good saw to cut his leg off before the apocalyptic rains drown him under the tree. D'uh. You guys... Never mind trees falling...the sky is fallin.

    Full-blown newb advice

Go with a 60cc saw and spend a lil extra for the pro version as suggested. You might get by with less, but why? What's yer plan B if sumthin happens to the saw? A back-up 45cc would be good to have, and no...nobody ever complained that they had two chainsaws. Right tool for the job at hand...

Husky 359 back from the dead to waking the dead

Just great. I also came away, from lotsa reading, with the impression that the Hyway kits were the only way to go, especially after a rebuild thread comparo that might be the same one you referenced. Thanks. Nice work.

Only cuz she didn't want you in her stash.

    Which saw would you keep?

Your sig says yer 365 is a project saw soon to be modified. Which one? Pre-EPA, Special or x-torq? It's yer newest, can wear a 16" up to 28," and 32" after modification, even if you only do the simple transfer cover grind (if it's an x-torq). That'd certainly be my choice for such a two-saw...

Brilliant! Best advice yer gonna get.

    husky 372

Good idea. Hand him the bill for a proper fix and I bet he'll let ya keep it! Might even think on summa the other stuff you've done.

    Picked up a Echo cs-500P

Our 445 came with the .325 narrow kerf set up, but I didn't know Oregon stopped making the bar. And yeah, cuts wonderfully. I thought it was the ideal match. So...where do I get replacement bars? Tried a 3/8" bar on it and it didn't like it.

    Is this cylinder beat?

Thanks! That's worth months of future learnin, at least. Probly more. As long as we're speculating, might there not be two other lines adjacent (going ccw), and might not that entire area already be fillin in with carbon depositing?

    Best way to store saws

My father swears by Seafoam, says he's always winterized his OPE with it, but my last visit to him showed his entire fuel line had dissolved. The gas that came out of it looked black. Dunno what part ethanol had in it, but beyond worryin about stabilizin the gas, I'm putting my saws up dry for...
