    tore it down today and seals and bearings not good . I'll be getting a new echo 400 in the next month. thanks for the replys and information , there are no new or used husky 346xp's in the area or it would be mine.

    Cutting logs in consistent lengths?

    I use a length of 1/2" lite hanging chain with a sharp nail welded to each end. you can adjust it by adding or subtracting links ,it will fit in your glove or pocket when not in use. this works on the bigger logs as I seam to miss the eyeball method as I go down the length.

    18" for me & 16 to sell I use the bar length also or I made a small s chain with nails welded on both ends, for when I got the 32" bar on , I just go down the log and scratch a mark where you want to cut, then remember to but it your pocket.

    Echo CS-330t muffler mod

    I just got mine started and tore it all apart, not easy,then added some down spouts out of 1/2 conduit, then removed the carb adjuster limiters to get it to run the way it should. it made the saw a whole lot better, maybe even on the fun side to use.
