    whats a new ms150 worth

The MS150s were replaced by the MS151s and the MS151s are on backorder. So, both are difficult to find right now.

    346XP Clutch cover swap

Somehow I missed this mod all these years. I've always replaced the silver one with orange earlier 346 or 353 covers.

    346XP Clutch cover swap

The cover has nothing to do with the oiling. The bar is oiled from the case side, which you are not altering.

    Stihl ms261c or bigger?

    A 261 should have a lot more guts than a 026.

Looks like an auto decomp to me.

    Stihl ms261c or bigger?

A MS261 will run circles around a 026. They are light years apart in every way. With that said, I would opt for a slightly bigger saw.

    Better ditch that auto decomp.

Either size dawg will work with either size clutch cover.

    MS462c crank bearings

You won't find one. It's a proprietary bearing.

They're fantastic saws, as long as it doesn't have the auto decomp feature.

Best bar for milling with ms261

Not a wise choice for milling, especially if it's the MTronic version. You need to run a saw very rich when milling.

    Inside the MS151T - MS150 vs MS151

Here's the MS150T. It's a COMPLETELY different saw once modded! I would consider it basically unusable stock. Just a muffler mod and timing advance gave it a 42% gain!!! I'm very frustrated that I didn't get stock video with the MS151T. Instead, I videod the MS150T again :( I'm blaming it...

I have some video footage, but haven't had the time to go through and edit it yet.

Hey man! Long time no see!

Stihl ms261 c-m smaller bar and chain

Why another shorter B&C? The longer bar is great for preventing you from having to lean over as much when limbing. When bucking, just don't use the whole bar if you don't want to.

    Husky 390xp

A properly modded saw will be at least as dependable as a stock saw.
