    Do I need take out whole insides of XL2 to change a spur? Can modern chain bars with most common bar mount pattern used on XL2 after some modification of the bar itself or chainsaw (like rounding tensioner with file) ? Many thanks for replies!

    Examined my chains carefully and noticed that old chain have very sharp drive links ends, all of them like been sharpened. Is this happened because they been weathered that way and after some time they start to damage the sprocket? The top one I drew is for an old one profile

    Thank you very much for your reply! I googled that "after 504-2001" means "after serial", so I should check if I got it made after this number. Can pitch sprocket damaged if chain is not 3/8 but other type, like 0.325 for example? Or 3/8 but not low profile?
