Best bet is to find a doner saw with a bad ignition.

Sounds like the high side is stopped up with something or it isn't getting enough fuel to richen up the tune. Check your fuel lines and carb. Your right in thinking it shouldn't do that. You may also have an air leak and not getting enough fuel to compensate for it. Go over your work on the...

In my experience a muffler mod will help both power and throttle response. Think of the engine as a pump . The better or faster you move air through it the better. Don't expect it to run like a ported saw but I usually feel more torque and get a few more rpms out of it when returning. Make...
