Yes you said compromised cylinder so you wanted it as a project saw. I did say i found a member on her that could provide both Mahle & KS jugs if needed. But i wasn't going to buy one and never said i was. I would have kept the saw if i was to fix it up like i said

And my apologies about the decomp, i removed it to check the already determined bad jug to investigate further. I must have forgotten to put it back in. I have plenty if needed but no worries now since youre shipping back.

Another case of "im cheap cheap" (your statement) and i agreed to do whatever you'd like. I apologize that you didnt recieve a mint 262 for $125 but as you stated, you'd love to have a project parts saw. I spoke with a member on here who asked me if it was decomp, i said yes so he said it would...

    Husqvarna 455 Rancher ( Problems )

Yup, everything was replaced all OEM with some help of a member here on A/S and a Husq dealer. I'd just hate to get rid of it just to find out that he had some legitimate excuse for not responding. Seemed like a decent guy until he implied every saw he owned was most likely stolen. That alone...

    Husqvarna 455 Rancher ( Problems )

I've "somewhat" acquired a newer 455R from a local arborist who i've been servicing & repairing his saws. This is the 7th saw he's brought to me and has a past due balance on labor charges and it seems (after i completely rebuilt this 455R) he has pretty much abandoned it with me. It's been a...

Anyone seen these kinda cylinder markings? Husqy 261-262

Good idea, i didn't give it much of a look or try to reach in there to see what it felt like but i will when i get a chance a little later. Come to think of it, i may have put it away last time i used it puttin about a teaspoon of 2-stroke in the spark plug hole. I do that sometimes if i don't...

Anyone seen these kinda cylinder markings? Husqy 261-262

Piston and ring look great. I was thinkin maybe it could be the plating flaking also but wont know till i pop the top. Are the 261's coated? what is that called Nikosil? or somethin? That would suck, might need a new jug

Anyone seen these kinda cylinder markings? Husqy 261-262

Husqy 261 converted to a 262 with Meteor flat top and caber ring using the old but good 261 cylinder. Has been running fine but the tank vent is starting to act up a bit so i'm ordering that up pretty soon. Pulled the muffler to see this... Anyone seen this before? What could be the cause?

Probably run through about 10-15 tanks of fuel since i cleaned up the cylinder and threw in a meteor flat top and caber ring. Been running fine and one of my favorite saws to use. It got some pretty big jobs done for me. I think i'm gonna put this sale on hold, maybe pull the top and see if i...

Dropping a Willow in NY (healthy/no rot or dead wood)

My father wants me to take down a 50-60 ft willow in his back yard about 20ft from his garage with an apartment over top said garage. About 1ft off the ground it splits into two mains. Doesn't seem like too tough of a job but i'd like to get some professional advice (hence the Pro forum)...

Uh-oh, might not be up for sale, i pulled the muffler and i'm seeing this, it's not scored and really never seen that kinda horizontal markings before. What could cause that? It does and has been running fine but i may have to pull the top to get a better look. Anyone see this type of markings...

BUMP $250/shipped... Forgot to add that the chainbrake will need a little work to be operable again. Most parts are there, little metal fork type part on the top where the handle connects is broken. Forgot to mention that in the first post. That should be it but will double check...
