In the 6 years ive been with him he has hired alot of chistmasy climbers. None of which could compare to him for . However...

    Bacterial wetting disease

Not at all. Im talking about wet discharge that comes from a few limbs and the trunk. The tree seems healthy otherwise. Somebody told him it was bacterial wetting. Not really sure if this is the proper diagnoses or not. Ive seen it on a few other pinoaks ive worked on.

    poison ivy

We had groundie who was immune and we thought great he can deal with it so we wont get it. Wrong. Instead he spread it to all the trucks and tools because he would be so fearless with the stuff. The next day he would be fine and the rest of the crew would be covered.

How to get comfortable on spurs?

A good boot with a steel sole helps save your arches. I think experience is what its going to take for you to gain confidence. Dont rush it. Whenever you make a cut you should always always always be tied in twice. If your spikes kick out just before you get your bar buried for your cut you may...

to set a rope or not.

Worked with a guy who was super fast on spikes. He used to run up the tree to set his lines and it was faster than a throw line. However on big pruning jobs he was alot slower than me. Seems that he hated throw balls so much that he never aquired a great skill with one. So while i had all my...

    I Love my Wood Pile??

I do that all the time with black cherry. What a scent! Sassafras is good to. Are you into barbecue. If so i hope you use wood and not gas or charcoal. Theres nothing like a steak grilled over shagbark or chicken over blackcherry.
