If I could do it all over again I would have a 260 and a 440. Yes the 361 is an excellent all around one saw, but it is much better to have two saws: one for small and one for big. I would stay away from 441 & 460 more weight that I do not need. Good luck, and please tell us what saw you purchased.

When it comes to tools you will get what you are willing to pay for. My vote is for the MS260. If that is out of your budget get the MS280, its about the same weight of MS270 with more power. Avoid that MS250. It is a light duty tool when compared to the others. Get an 18", avoid what size...

I believe the Stihl manual says use only fresh gas up to 60 days old. I use a one gallon container that way I go through it more often.

My vote is for the Stihl MS260 with 16". It is a good lightweight saw for limbing and small trees and firewood.

MS 361 - Purchased September 06'. Bars - I have an 18" for all around use and I have a 25" for bigger wood. I like it. Its a great all around chainsaw.
