    People must be hungry

Slowest spring I've ever seen. Been doing this in the same market since 1990. Welcome to the New World Order.

    My arboristsite introduction!

You're about to blend in flawlessly with the masses here. You will end up having multiple 'ported' saws. Each of them will come from a highly esteemed 'builder' on this site. After that, you will be obliged to post pictures of your port work, welding skills, and overall woodsmanship. And if...

    Minnesota,Wisconsin,Iowa, Dakotas GTG's thread

But Sarah, remember that it's a big trick to cut wood with a car. I even tried it once, and it didn't work out.

    Iowa Spring GTG II

Assuming Jim goes chasing ladies, better hope he doesn't find a slow or wounded one. If he does catch one, I bet we won't hear from him 'til NEXT year's GTG time. Go gettum Jim! edit: He did say he was goin' to town to "check some boxes......"

    Question for the Crane Ninja's

Hats off guys for a TRULY informative thread. I've done a fair amount of crane work, and it was all with the same operator. Guy is retired now, and my body says I'm not far behind! For some reason, it's been more and more difficult for me to find good information here to absorb. Probably just...

    Minnesota,Wisconsin,Iowa, Dakotas GTG's thread

Back in Iowa for the moment. But I must admit that I now understand why those dudes with the long bars on the left coast exist...... Those trees really DO get big when the growing season is that long. And all along I thought those Big Bars were compensating for some sort of shortfall...

If you were man enough, those pesky changeovers wouldn't be a problem. :msp_rolleyes:

Not to be a d&ck, but apparently you have become an overnight treasure trove of chainsaw expertise. Sorry, dude, but I aint buyin'. Spendin' less and less time on AS these days, coincidentally. And that's a fact.

Search function! There is more good information about race chains etc. than a moody dude can shake a stick at. No joke.

Oklahoma,AR,MO,KS,TX GTG (Next GTG 08/27/2016 ) Fort Scott, KS

Fyi I don't actually attend church, own any saws, or know anything about operating them. I made the whole thing up so I could be an innernet poser.

Husqvarna model so new even the company doesn't know about it

Took the words right outta my mouth. Talk about splitting pointless hairs...

What do you think Husqvarna's best saw is?

My votes may be decidedly old-school, but I'd argue that these models are still relevant today. 262xp, 272xp, 394xp.

    What's your favorite chipper?

I really liked my two Bandits. One was a 200+ w/Cummins 4bta, and the other a 200 with the Ford gas 4 banger. Then again, after years of stacking sticks on trucks-who in their right mind wouldn't love any chipper.

    school argument paper.

I just think that if my bibliography or my footnotes had a reference to "Zombiechopper" it would be super cool. Don't know if the instructor would see it that way tho....

    Iowa Spring GTG II

Good morning right back at ya! Contrary to what you Mo guys might think, there's some good folks up here north of you too. I'll bump this by noting that I am posting from fabulous southern California. It feels like I am on another planet as I can barely identify every fourth tree I see here. Big...

What's the most impressive saw you've ever run?

+1 (or actually three) I have a long running love affair with my ol' 394. Bone stock. Failing that, I would highly recommend the 2 (not stock) 394's belonging to srcarr52. Only ran them briefly, but with BIG bars in some medium/large wood. Still smile every time I think about those evil...

    YOUR INPUT......WHAT about a Husky 394XP ?

I'll put in another vote for getting that saw. I bought a 394 when they first came out. Possibly my favorite power tool of all time.

Is the 346 the single greatest invention in the annals of history??

I can't recall if the 346 shipped with .325 or was it lo-pro?
