    Will sawmill pay for itself?

My Lumbermate is 1.5 years old and already paid for itself... not in terms of pure cash but portability of making one trip into the hunt camp with the mill, instead of 50 trips with the atv and trailer bringing lumber in. I have milled my own logs for trim and flooring in the house and it is so...

Will it still make good firewood?

Yes there is rot, it is the yellow/orange inch or so on the outside ring of the rounds, the vast majority of the round is still classic solid red oak (reddish pink) and obviously still hard and good to burn.

    Sledheads

I have been looking at the older Arctic Cats (1995-2000) models like Z440's ZRT 500-700, jags and etc. There seems to be some real good deals on them. Any one have experience with these sleds? I like them cause even though they're older they still look fairly modern.

    Sledheads

What about the newer Polaris'? (2004) There is a nice Polaris Edge trail touring 550 Fan near me. It seems like a nice sled and he is asking a fair price. How are they? Any problems?

    Sledheads

I need some help. I live in southern Ontario and I am thinking of buying my first sled and don't know much about the different brands and their perks and downsides. If any of you guys are diehard sledheads or know your way around the makes and models I am just wondering what a good solid...

    Buying a mill!! Some questions.

I have the setter and sharpener both made by Norwood. The sharpener is very easy to assemble and use while the setter is a little trickier to setup and takes a while to get the hang of setting all the teeth to the precise angle. I also use the Norwood blades. I had 21 but have broken a few, so...

    Buying a mill!! Some questions.

I have an LM 2000 with the standard 13 horse honda. The motor is bulletproof 1.5 years old already and still starts on first of second pull even in the winter. I have milled mostly white pine so far but have experimented with white ash, oak and hard maple and the 13 horse handled it quite well...

    ATV Recommendation

Yes the rubicon has honda's exclusive "hondamatic" transmission which is a hydrostatic transmission - no gears to shift and no belts to slip, the smoothest on the market the 2001-2004 honda foreman ES's were the best honda's ever, modern enough with the electric shift, digital display and...

    ATV Recommendation

and the old bombardier traxters were pretty mean too. Find a 500 with the step through design and it will haul just about whatever you can hook it to. In british columbia in the okanagan valley and in the vineyards they have honda ATV's with 50,000kms on them, no other brand even comes close...

    Firewood delivery

Looks like most are charging 10-15 dollars for delivery, which is what I figured. That makes it a square $100 for a face cord, nice and easy.

    Firewood delivery

What are all you guys charging for delivery? The going rate around here is 70-75 bucks a face cord, 80-85 if it is real good seasoned hardwood (which mine is) face cord, and 210 for a full bush cord.
