    same here great kindling. have a plastic tub i put underneath the i-beam and log craddle of my logsplitter, it jus catches the splinters and bark.

    I sell seasoned hardwood for $140 per cord delivered and stacked directly out of truck or trailer. i charge extra if i can't get the trailer directly where they want the wood stacked and have to transport the wood by hand.

    4-way wedge on on piston is a bad idea. The top two pieces are fine but the bottom two pieces will push down on the I-beam causing upward pressure on the piston. the piston is not built to with stand pressure from that direction. It is bad for your piston that is why i chose not to mount a bolt...

    I can definately understand how the 4-way wedge could cause abnormal stress i am going to take your advise and not even risk the damage. The wood on the bottom putting upward pressure on the ram would definately be bad. thanks i appreciate the help and not wasting 70 bucks.

    Thanks thanks i have definately been convinced i am going to be getting all the PPE. I have found a pair of chaps and a helmet i like from Amick"s Superstore. The husky pro chaps and the husky pro arborist helmet.

    Come on! i really need some help with this. Im lookin for a pair of chaps i can strap on the outside of my pants. and a helmet that fits nice and snug w/ muffs that stay on your ears and don't pull away from your face. I need some help from the pros thanks.

    so do you think it would be worth the $70 or will it put too much pressure on my spitter since the 4-way is on the shaft. and did it increase your cycle time with the four way wedge on?

    i was wondering if it is going to really increase production, or is it just going to just increase cycle time and crush the wood it too small of pieces. im not making the bundled size pieces u see in grocery stores. i just want pieces small enough to move with one hand.

    sweetgum sellable with hardwood? so if i mix in some sweetgum with the rest of the hardwood i sell(mostly oak) will my customers flip out.

    As far as a general consensus on firewood, softwood will burn easier but not as long, nor will it put out as much heat as hardwood will. Remember that softwood seasons faster than most hardwood. I prefer well seasoned white and red oak personally. As far as the saw and chain question go to...

    036 muf mod and chain brake

    So with my 036 i will be ok just drilling a couple of 5/16" holes in the muff cover.
