    Husky T435 No Start

My friend gave me his Husky T435 that doesn't run. New plug, fresh fuel, has good spark. I haven't been able to compression test it yet as my tester doesn't go down to M10. Took the carb apart and sprayed it with cleaner. Set screws to L 2.5 and H 2 turns out. When I had the muffler off I spun...

038 -- Chain smoking. Bar hot. Oiler seems to work but chain is dry.

There should be a thin metal bar plate that goes against the bar which keeps the oil from passing all the way through.

What's wrong with me? My chain? My saw? See this dust flying fine as flour?

Also show us which direction you are cutting the wood.

    Homelite Chainsaws

Gasket was mated up correctly for the impulse hole. It has a new carb kit in from this year. All gaskets were matched. The screen was replaced. I havent reopened the carb to look at the metering but it was set correctly when the kit was installed. Fuel line is new, filter is new. Only about 1"...

    Homelite Chainsaws

Back to working on one of my problem childs...a SXL 925W. Not pulling fuel to the cylinder. Has a Tilly 151 cab. Ideas? Saw seems to have good comp, I dont have a tester but my arm gets tired after a couple pulls. Carb holds pressure, no leaks.

    Help with a 372 clutch

Are you sure youre going the right way? Id be using rope instead of the piston stop. No way to damage the saw when done right. Normally I tap my clutches off with a screwdriver. Take a picture of the clutch and post it.

Semi-chisel is what I know it as. I agree though, thats not noodling and cutting that way will produce dust. At least it has when Ive seen it done.

How do you file the propriety husqvarna chains

I got fed up filing the vanguard chain I had. Threw it away before I got halfway through it. It was free so didnt hurt my feelings.

Got a CS301 and CS305 for free. Owner said neither ran and he didnt have time for them. Bar oil in the gas tank and gas in the bar oil tank on the 305. Fresh gas on the 301 and clean the air filter. Both run like champs now. Clean pistons.

What's your favourite smallest handy chainsaw ?

My cs300 and 301. Both great saws and easy to work on. I use them for limbing and marking cut distance when bucking.

Oregon has part # 68210 but it is a rim drive, so you will also need to pick up a rim for the sprocket. Local saw shop should have both parts.
