    Husqvarna 350

I did the same thing. Just left about an inch worth of hose on that nipple and plugged the end. No issues here but I’m sure there’s a better /correct way to do this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Salvageable Cylinder?

Need some advice on whether y'all think this might run or not. Cylinder is off an 026. I removed all (or most) of the Aluminum transfer but have some pretty deep gouges present. See before and after pics. Will a new Meteor piston and Rings hold good compression? Or should I trash this...

    Aftermarket bearings for Stihl 026

Yup. I just got done replacing both bearings, crank seals, case gasket, and cylinder gasket for around $70 if I remember right. All oem. I think it's like a kit you can buy which is a lot cheaper than buying all the parts individually according to my dealer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Aftermarket bearings for Stihl 026

I know this is an old thread but was wondering if yall would mind taking a look at these bearings and let me know if the clutch side looks correct? http://www.ebay.com/itm/STIHL-CHAINSAW-024-026-MS260-CRANK-BEARING-SET-NEW-BOX1621-/231844949397?hash=item35fb092d95:g:OwkAAOxyjLNSPLL1 Price...

    MS170 Non-adjustable Carb Blues

Same problem with mine that I rebuilt. Always sounds like it's running lean on the high side. I think Brad did a thread on converting this saw over to an adjustable carb. Looked like quite a bit of hassle so I post-poned my conversion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Fuel Question

I know everyone is sick of arguing on What type of Gas and Oil to run in their saws but I was hoping to get some opinions from some of the fine gentlemen on this site for the below fuel I found near my office. http://store.hyperfuels.com/Aero-93--5-Gal_p_355.html Cant find any specs on it but...

Best way to fell this tree???

Thanks Gents Took yalls advice and had no issues whatsoever. Saved the church some money and got to run my Ported 461. Tree fell right where I wanted it to by knocking off some of the limbs on one side with a pole saw and using 3 good wedges. (Also gave some of the ol timers in our...

    MS460 High Output Oiler Upgrade

When y'all say shorter side I'm assuming the side closest to the center of this counter bolt? I can see where the peg is off center from the middle but I'm basically trimming more of this or are you actually angling this peg? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Best way to fell this tree???

Thanks Art Not worried about the stump right now honestly. Just want to get this thing on the ground and cut up. Do you really think it could split on me? Tree seems to be pretty solid yet and hasn't been dead for long (Still has some leaves on some of the limbs) Sent from my iPhone...

Best way to fell this tree???

Thanks ATH I have only fell a hand full of trees so it is going to be somewhat of a learning experience for me. (At least one this big) I am well aware of how a good notch and back cut should be so that might be the way to go. I have around 100 feet between the road and the tree trunk so I...

Best way to fell this tree???

Howdy gents, Just wondering if y'all would drop this from the trunk or knock off the limbs first? I don't have a bucket truck of any kind. I'd be Running a ported ms461 with a 32" bar Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

MS 180 Issues after Complete rebuild

So I fixed this saw and it runs decent. (Still only about 135 lbs of compression. Remember when I burnt up the second piston in the after market NWP cylinder? Here it is. You can see the scaring on the skirt of the exhaust side but my question has to do with the carbon build up on top of...
