    Nova tractor chipper

Jinma wood chipper has the same issues. I added a plate to the infeed to deflect the brush/limbs toward the outside away from the axle but wrapping around the axle was still an issue with Cedar! You have to vary the wood as the manufacturer states and that doesn't eliminate the clogging. Not...

    Cheap Bar Oil?

And set it aside to dry out between uses!

Replaced gasket on stove door now I really have to force it closed?!

Remove the door and, using a masonry chisel and hammer, tamp down/compress the rope in the door channel.

Sharpening - my personal opinion and experience (not an expert)

IMO For optimum performance the cutters need to be the same height!

    Wallenstein BX-62 chipper...clog, clog, clog!

Wet, green Doug Fir limbs need to be chased with woody material to flush the green material through the chute. I personally trim off most of the green material before feeding if its fresh cut.

Chipper advice needed for 8 acre residential property that has logged

You did say you're making firewood with the 4 inch and smaller so these units would easily handle that. A larger unit would certainly make things go faster but way more expensive.

Chipper advice needed for 8 acre residential property that has logged

A used tractor/loader and one of these to hang off the back! http://www.woodmaxx.com/WoodMaxx_8_PTO_Wood_Chipper_Hydraulic_Feed_p/wm-8h.htm https://woodlandmills.ca/us/product/wc88-8-pto-wood-chipper/

    Kiln

His wood dryer box is just a small house so I don't think it needs much venting. I wouldn't open a window in my house if I was running a dehumidifier. Dennis

Meteor and highway cylinder kits for Stihl ms660???

What happened to the OEM cylinder? I burnt mine up milling and learned here to adjust (rich) the mix when milling.

Meteor and highway cylinder kits for Stihl ms660???

I did smooth up the exhaust port on the last one. Paying more doesn't guarantee you are getting a better Asian casting!

Meteor and highway cylinder kits for Stihl ms660???

Asian is the way to go if the saw is for your own use. For the price of $25 - $30 kit and you can get a few cords of wood or a few boards milling seems cheap and replacement in an MS660 is less than an hour labor. I keep an extra 660 kit on hand. Proper break in and richin the mixture probably...

After cutting to firewood lengths I back along the log with 3-pt tractor mounted vertical splitter and roll the rounds on.

    460 rebuild gone south

I don't see ignition coil on your list. Does it run again after it cools off?

To fix or not to fix? Basket Case 028 Super

The neighbor periodically gives me a garage sale find to fix. First thing I do is pressure wash it! After removing covers hit it again then blow off the water with air.

    Need lots of evergreens.

Careful with the Willows as they have a root system that loves to penetrate your drain field and clog the pipes (if you have a septic system). My neighbor said when growing up that a Willow more than 100ft away was able to clog his drains.

STIHL 066 - not enough oil w/new pump

After you have repaired your saw and set the pump flow to max then dilute your chain/bar oil for more flow. I use either Hydraulic tractor fluid or automatic transmission fluid. 50/50
