Perhaps you haven't been listening to the message spewed forth from the mouths of democrats for the last few years. They're coming for the semiautos. I think maybe you should go to the political section, that seems to be all you want to talk about.

I'm going nowhere because we far outnumber them. I can tolerate most liberals except for the ones who own guns, especially semiautos. They plan to hide theirs but vote to have ours taken away.

It was probably five years ago and I don't remember where I got it but it wasn't anywhere near the price you mentioned. I used an inductive pickup timing light to find my problem. When the engine would start misfiring, so would the timing light. I found a bad coil on a Kawasaki twin the same way.

I had to replace the coil on the Onan on my JD 318 because it would start running like s*it when it got up to temperature. I had that problem for a long time and it kept getting worse. The new coil fixed it 100 %.

If you're going the 272 route you might want to consider adding the heat shield between the muffler and cylinder, part # 503519901.

And if you drop start, you will be reported to the chainsaw police.

I drop start everything and always have. I'd probably hurt myself doing it any other way.

I reckon you buy the whole assembly for a later model saw. They're available through the aftermarket but I can't comment on the quality of those because I've never tried one...
