    Echo CS620p problem

Def lean on the low for some reason. Do you run fuel with ethanol in it? How does it run upside down?

    Stihl 046 Magnum?

Not gonna lie, she looks a little rough. But it doesn’t appear to be missing any parts. The owner said it runs good other than the oiling issue. Maybe a little restoration would spruce it up a bit.

    Stihl 046 Magnum?

Hah, north Florida. Not too far. I finally got a reply back from the owner. Trying to decide if it’s worth $150 for a little fixer-upper.

    Stihl 046 Magnum?

Hey everyone. I’m an Echo saw fan but came across an 046 Magnum for $150 close to me. I don’t think the Magnum means anything on the 046 like the 038. The saw looks well used but is advertised as a good runner that needs a worm gear for the oiler. What is the reputation on the 046? Is parts...

    Echo 620 or Makita 7300

I bought my 620 a little while ago. I LOVE it. It's so comfortable and runs like a sewing machine. It starts first pull when cold and has torque for days. I'm an echo fanboy and have near perfect service out of everything from a 21.2cc blower to the 620, 355t, a 770t blower and several units in...

    John Deere 450V/Echo CS-4500

Hey all. I'm an admitted Echo fanboy. I live on a farm and run saws quite a bit. My current go to's are my CS-355T (little monster) and CS-620p (bigger monster.) Those cover most anything I need to do. Alway's looking for a good deal on a CS-8000 or something though. There is a JD 450V for...

    That also makes sense. Thanks!

    '15 Echo CS620PW Information

That makes absolute sense. But, there isn't a semi-chisel available from the OEM, at least under the 620P parts list. I suppose Echo only wants you to run full-chisels on their PowerMatch bars, maybe for cutting speed against the competition?

I know you're a guru around here so maybe you can answer this. Why, in Oregon's part finder, does it not show a 72DPX chain for a 70DL bar but when you search for 72DPX070G they are all over the place?

    '15 Echo CS620PW Information

If you got the 24" you need an 81 drive link chain. Oregon doesn't offer a semi-chisel chain in at least the 20" and 24" PowerMatch bars. You'll need to go to another brand. If you want to go with Carlton/WoodlandPro you can get the 30SC81 for the 24" or if you like the Stihl chain you can get...

I don't cut much dirty wood, but you'll be better off with a semi-chisel for dirty wood. The saw comes with the full chisel. Depending on the size bar you are running, the semi-chisels are sometimes not easy to find from Oregon. I'll look around in a minute and find a part number for the chain...

The largest bar that you can put on a 038

Depends. If it's an 038 Magnum it should pull a 36" just fine. Lots of low end low rpm torque on those.

    038 at pawn shop?

    Guy I work with has an 038 Magnum. I think it's 77ish cc's. It pulls a 32" with authority.

    038 at pawn shop?

Magnum? What's the condition like? The 038 is one of the best saws Stihl has ever produced.

Stihl ms 362 vs Echo 620P

I posted a few photos of my 620p on page 105 of the mega-thread if anyone wants to see one taken down: http://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/15-echo-cs620pw-information.278407/page-105

If you guy's are interested I'll post a few photos of the 620p while I was cleaning it up today. I don't have anymore cutting planned for it for another week or two so I thought I would clean it back up. Under the side cover is all slicked up painted magnesium except for the little brake cover...

Stihl ms 362 vs Echo 620P

What are they asking for the 620p and with what size bar? $659? Many dealers catalogs are showing that as the MSRP but the price is actually $100 less than that. Tell that dealer you got the high quote from to price match what Echo wants them selling the saw for. It's right on their website. The...

Stihl ms 362 vs Echo 620P

No pissing match at all. I admire the Stihl and Huksy's as well. I just had to pick which one I wanted to buy and am listing the reasons that I made the decision that I did. If all 3 were the same price the decision would have been much more difficult.

Stihl ms 362 vs Echo 620P

They're not really two different answers. It all depends on the criteria that makes a good saw a good saw to you. Value is certainly a big one. Echo is sort of like the Toyota of the saw market. Stihl is maybe more like a BMW or Mercedes. You may get a little better ride out of the BMW or Merc...

Stihl ms 362 vs Echo 620P

Not when you ask a Stihl dealer... Those guys are so far up Stihl's butt they turn their head the other way at anything good that Echo makes and spread anti-Echo propaganda. Yesterday I was by a place that's a Stihl dealer looking for a flywheel key for a Kohler V-twin. The used to sell Echo but...
