Topping over a house - Video - Feedback requested on how to improve.

The use of a porta-wrap and letting the top run is good advice. The only thing I can add is you might want to try putting in a taller notch and leaving more hinge wood that way the top swings down more instead of jumping so far off to the side, this way you get more down force and less side...

MS 200T disscussion on what breaks the most and service tips.

The ground wire is the factory size shape and length. I am a production trimmer (Trees Inc.) so I use my 200 a LOT and have to replace the ground wire every 4 months or so. It usually breaks where the wire is crimped onto the connector where it is screwed to the bottom of the top handle. I guess...

    He-Man has a bent rod

It's not charity, it's just a newbie thing. I would trust your judgement on a new member before I'd trust my own. If you offered but didn't have the parts that shows something about you wanting to help out a brand new member. Since you didn't have the parts and I do, I'll fill in for you.

    The Beg for Manuals Thread

Every time I find a couple of good sources to get free ipl's (stihl, husky, etc.) the address changes or can not be found after a short time. I can't remember who it was that offered up burnt CD's with ipl's but if any one has the capability to do so please send me a reply or pm with details. Thanks

Lets Play a game...how many mistakes can you spot.

Yep! He has come a long way after joining here. All tho this is not his worst video, he has one where he drills a couple 1/2 holes in a ms460 muffler while still on the saw then without even shaking out the shavings or a retune he runs it like he stole it. Like I said he has come a loooong way...

    Christmas giving 2010

Last December Brad started a fun Christmas giving thread where members gave away spare or unwanted whole saws, saw parts, and other saw related items to the needy and/or wanty. Last year I managed to help out a few members with their projects by giving saws and parts away I was never going to...

whats the average wieght size you use for your throw line?

I am cheap so instead of a big shot I use one of these dog ball launchers and a tennis ball full of sand and epoxy with a eye bolt to tie zing-it line too. The balls are 16oz when full of sand and 22oz when full of lead shot. I know it is hillbilly but the whole works only costs $25.00 and works...
