all i can tell u is dont hit a sweet gum piece of firewood lenth log ,with a splittiing mall or axe . it may end up planted in your forhead. a splitter is the only thing to split gum with. imo

i was just wondering ,how many folks are buying those saws used ,thinking they are efco saws. seems to me that could be misleading . mite put a bad taste in a fellars mouth ,if he thought he was buying efco and got the junk homelite was putting out. oh well buyer beware.

if u are in italy ,id look at the efco saws . id be interested in knowing what a 962 sells for over there,as thats where they are made.also,, niether saw u mentioned will shade them much ,im thinking.

mite have been 5 yrs . u get my age its hard to keep track. i just remember the hd shelves being full of deere saws . rite beside them was the homelites and the pretty much looked like the same saw,as i recall.

i would consider letting dave nieger do his magic with the saw. he really made mine a lot stronger and faster.. but my 962 was plenty fast just stock.good luck

i agree with lakeside. i always take into consideration ,whether or not a particular saw was a favorite of the pros. if it was ,why did they get rid of it.. i do like the 20t tho.

that 026 looks like shes been there an back .. but mine is not much betteer looking and i wouldnt want to get rid of it ,as its a proven saw. but a pic just doesnt tell what its gonna do when u put it to the wood for an hour or so.. i think u ought to get the new echo or mabe one size...
