What engine is on this old thing?

The one on the left with the AH81 motor looks like a Monoline model 7 according to Acre's site. The one on the right looks like a model 35? It lists that one having the AH47 in it...

McCulloch portable battery charger with chainsaw powerhead?!?!?!?

I really wanted to buy that welder since welding is what I do all the time, but I didn't have enough $$$. I thought it would be awesome to have and use every once in awhile. It needs that big muffler though, that's for sure. If it had the small chainsaw muffler you wouldn't wanna weld with it...

What the heck is a "Jet Star" ?

Cool old saw! It's got a Power Products engine in it, probably made in the 60's. The recoil looks exactly like the one on the 1968 Mono model AH48 Dad has.

hey, who had that 5-49 with no carb?

did you try putting gas or ether in the combustion chamber?

    Power Products

Sounds cool. I've got an old saw that has a power products engine on it and it runs great, and it's LOUD. It smokes like hell but it runs, and cuts. I dont use it for every day cutting though. I've got an 009 for that. ;)

    Power Products

It was made in Grafton, Wisconsin. I've got a lot of those carbs in a 5 gallon bucket and that's what all of 'em have written on the bottom.

    Check this Mac 15 out...

I just realized that.:D :D :D The saw I got is a real character. The tank is painted red. The bar is so worn out it's not even funny. AND the chain is as dull as $hit and couldn't cut Jello.:D Later Robert

    Check this Mac 15 out...

Kinda high on the BIN price: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=2343019768&category=20358 I recently got the same model saw fur free, don't run at the moment but it will. It pops and sputters, so carb work will commence tomorrow. Later Robert

    Sharpening an axe

Axes rock! I cut down a rotten tree a couple weeks ago, about 12-15 feet tall, around 12"-13" diameter. I don't remember what kind it was. Sure wasn't an oak! I counted and it took me 20 chops till it fell down. Then guess what I had to cut it up with.:D Robert

    Storm cleanup

Yeah, I heard about that. Some kid got killed when a tree fell on him, too. We have it all taken care of, as far as I can see. I haven't heard any chainsaws screaming, so I guess we're done.;) Later Robert

    Storm cleanup

We had "hurricane Claudette" come through here, and all I have heard in the past two days is chainsaws screaming. I didn't have the opportunity to use one(dammit!!!) :D There are tree limbs everywhere. I even saw someone using an old MAC. Helped my Granddad cut up some limbs today. He was using...

O you have got to be kidding me!

I messed with a few eagerbeavers recently, never got any of them to run. I pulled and pulled and pulled, AND PULLED and never got any of them to stay running. JUNK. Robert Oh, if you look at his other auctions he has some Husky saws and weedwackers.

    Engine won't idle...

That's a good suggestion, but I'm gonna try the carb I rebuilt, then mess with the other one if necessary. The carb on it was from another saw that my Dad got parts from, cause they are interchangeable I guess. The carb worked OK ever since he put it on, but I guess it's time for things to fall...

    Engine won't idle...

The carb was a little loose, but no a lot. It does run slower when choked; it dies out after I turn the choke. But it still does the same thing. I think something happened inside the carb, but I don't have time to mess with the carb. I have another carb that is in pretty good condition that I...

    Engine won't idle...

Was using the big 'ol Mono:D to cut some limbs up, and I started the saw and it did the little bbbmmbbbmmbbbmmmmmbbbmm thing then it revved up to maybe half full throttle. I didn't even touch the trigger! It will not idle down at all, even after tinkering with the carb. The choke was open, and...
