    Remington Chainsaws(including Mall chainsaws)

Can anyone tell me if the air vent on the oil tank is serviceable/replaceable? It’s a Wards 5.0 (pl-55). It doesn’t seal & leaks a lot of oil. I tried cleaning it with no improvement. The ball is free & the spring feels soft but I’m not sure if that’s normal. I have gone through the entire...

Nice. It looks like it will clean up pretty good. I agree with @Hoggwood about these.

Weird messed up recoil setup on bicentennial Poulan , help?

I’m pretty sure the recoil spring is mounted behind the flywheel on that saw. The 245 is the same way. Pull off the flywheel & see what’s there. Hopefully you just need to rewind it.

I got this project XL-123 from Steve, @svk. It was obviously a well liked saw as it saw some use. I replaced what was needed & have a good running example from that series.

    Blitz 60 chainsaw

Wow, that is expensive. I’m kind of the same way even though I don’t cut wood like you. I’ll spend what I need to keep a saw running even if it doesn’t get run very much.

I really like my JD 56. I had to put replace the P/C on mine & it was not easy to find. Plus, shipping from Italy tends to be expensive, even by Hawaii standards.

Yes, that’s the part I have. It’s the one on the right in the eBay photo.

    New to me, Dayton 2Z463

Is this the part you’re looking for? I just looked & I have an extra one. It had a tiny tear where it goes in the housing but I put a little Seal All on it & it should be good. I will give it to you if you want it...

Most reliable Stihl chainsaw of all time?

A ported 028 Super is a nice saw to run. I sold a couple & always missed them. This one is staying.

Do you like it? I was thinking about bidding on that as I hadn’t seen one before. Glad I didn’t run it up on you.
