MS 280 help -bar too dry?

The bar and bar hole are clean. As far as I can tell the oilflow is not adjustable. I think it used half a tank of oil vs the gas tank

    MS 280 upgrade ? $400 - 600?

Will I notice a huge difference for firewood? I have a huge stump and some logs 3ft wide and the MS 280 was a little bit of a letdown power wise. I would love a 362 but 700+ probably wont work. What might be a big upgrade power wise for $500 or so? Other brands? Specs on the 291 dont look that...

what file for Oregon 91 and 90?

Thank you - so the big question is this....if I filed with the 13/64 3 to 4 passes on each cutter as well as the raker(Stihl 2 in 1 file) is the chain junk? It did not cut very well

what file for Oregon 91 and 90?

I have 3 saws with Oregon 91 chain - looks to be 7/32 or 13/64 is that right? I have found a million different answers most 7/32 or 4.0 mm lol I got my Stihl 3/8 2 in 1 and it didn't have the same effect on these chains as it did my Stihl .325. (I have three saws w 91 and one pruner with a 90)...

Anyone use the same chain on all your saws?

thank you for all the replies - I May stick with 2 chains instead of 1. My stihl ms 280 has a .325 and my echos cs 305, cs 310 and cs 330T all have Oregon 3/8. now that I have looked everything up I will mark the 4.8 for the stihl and 4.0 for the others

Anyone use the same chain on all your saws?

I have 4 chainsaws and i am thinking about putting the same chain on all of them. I just use them for general clean up. I am thinking this will make sharpening much easier. Right now they all see to take different files etc and you need a magnifying glass to see what is what. One is an 18, 2 16...
