    Husqvarna 350 issue

Need some help with a Husqvarna 350 idle issue. I put a new cylinder, piston and ring in the saw and have had a problem ever since. The saw starts and idles well. throttles up fine; Let off the throttle, it idles down, sputters for 5-15 seconds and cuts out. The saw seems to idle...

    562xp bar and chain selection

I tweaked my 20" stock bar on my Husqvarna 562xp. I am looking for some opinions on a replacement bar and chain. I typically only cut firewood in fairly clean conditions. I cut about 5 or 6 cords per year. Thanks in advance Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

    Whats in your wood pile?

I get my wood from many different sources in varying quantities this leads to having a wide variety of species. As I was inspecting my piles I began to notice all the different type of wood I had, and was surprised when I counted 17 different types, here they are in order by what I have the...

    Insulating a flue

I agree the numbers seem to say it would be ok, but I have enough people telling me it's wrong including the local fire chief, I will err on the side of caution. my thinking is there may be other chemicals on the glass (why is one pink and one yellow) but I really don't know I will use the...

    Insulating a flue

if I wasn't dealing with that plate it would be a piece of cake. I found a guy that has Rock Wool for $65, still think it's steep but if it saves me from the grief it will be well spent.

    Insulating a flue

on the back of the insert is a 45 that connects to the SS flex pipe, I had made a steel plate to block the air going up the chimney and attached rock wool to the plate. The problem is when I clean that flue I have to slide the insert out a few inches in order to disconnect the 45 from the...

    Insulating a flue

I found this chart from here: http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/insulation-temperatures-d_922.html if Fiberglass can handle 1000 degrees it should be fine at the top of my chimney. being that the flue pipe thermometer never has gone above 500, or am I missing something, is this a question...

    Insulating a flue

I have a fireplace insert that has a 6” flex SS pipe running up through the large masonry chimney. It currently has a steel plate with rock wool I made up, laying where the fireplace damper used to sit. This has worked well, but when I clean the flue pipe I have to take the plate out and...

what would your heating bill be if

when I used to travel for work and couldn't heat with wood I would go through ~500 Gallons of oil. I think oil around here is running $3.12/gallon, so $1560/year =~$390/month

    Flue damper with EPA stove

forgive my ignorance, but if you have an air tight stove why do you need a damper? can't you just reduce the incoming air, that's all I have needed to do, but I may be missing something in your setup?

Looking for firewood in SE PA, Chester County

I always have good luck asking contractors in the area. I just got a tri axle load (almost full) delivered FREE from an excavator company in Coatsville they just didn't want to take it to the dump.

    mystery

pulled the carpet and padding up, mystery solved, at least part of it. the padding was wet in a few places and it stunk. now I can understand why it was wet the last week, I must not have sucked up the water good enough with the carpet cleaner, but why did it stink before. My only thought is...

    mystery

thank you for your great reply, (thanks everyone) I am now convinced the smell is not coming from the outside. I searched the attic above and the basement bellow to no avail, being that the surrounding rooms don't smell it has to be the carpet or padding. I will be ripping the carpet and...
