Motorproblems on Stihl MS 250 C

Just as a side note, Sandefjord is one of the most beautiful places in Europe. Back in 1969, I was in an Airborne brigade with the US army stationed in Mainz, W. Germany. We parachuted into Sandefjord onto Torp airfield which at the time was just a single runway and a taxiway along side. Now...

Need light saw for hiking / trail fixes (Echo 2511?)

I have been a trail overseer since 2003, I have a MS150t but use a MS200 rear handle in non-wilderness areas along with Silky Sugoi, or folding Gomboy and use a folding Katanaboy in wilderness areas which weighs under 3 lbs. and will quickly cut most blowdowns you will encounter. No chainsaw...

    55 Rancher

I just went through a 55, it needed a piston and cylinder, went through the carb, reused the gaskets, it did need a new impulse line ($3+), located at the bottom of the cylinder beneath the carb intake boot. Make sure you have a good spark. You can buy a spark tester for a couple dollars at...

    Removing stuck MS460 clutch drum

Look at part #20, mine only had 1 in place, should of been 3. The only thing that I found of the missing 2 was a flat sort of "square" side piece of #20 jammed between the drum and casing.

    Removing stuck MS460 clutch drum

I just went through the same thing with an 039. Make sure the chain brake is off, and use them vise grips. Mine had part of a clutch retainer (1127-162-3000) jammed between the sprocket drum and the housing which was the problem. Make sure to inspect the clutch, the bearing, oil pump and oil...

I recently acquired a McCulloch G70 and am in need of an ipl. Can someone help me out? Also according to Mike Acres the fuel mix ratio should be 20:1??? What should the compression be? It has plenty of spark. I removed the spark plug and put mix in the cylinder but it doesn't fire. Possibly...

    Assembling the NOS 084

I'm struggling with replacing the oil hose on my 084. The dealer said that it needs to go up through the bottom, then it needs to bend and protrude from the opening just a little bit, where you then push the brass cone into the hose. Would it be easier to start at the top opening, get the hose...
