    Holy smokes

I don't want anything too tampered with. I don't really want to soup it up either. Just a solid work truck. The more I think of it, the more I start to believe I may be better off dropping the motor I like in another truck. Although, a 1st gen 1 ton ram with a cummins would make a hell of...

    Holy smokes

Looking at 1st gen dodge rams, 3/4 and 1 ton.. the prices are outrageous. I'm sorry but your worked 20+ yr old truck is not worth 15K+ ridiculous, I should just buy a gas job from down south and refit it up here to make the truck I desire. 12v 4x4 1ton 5.9 cummins 5 spd or 6 spd if I'm...

    Favorite Saw brand??

I used to like Johnsered's, then I started working with them beyond a few cuts. I no longer like Johnsered's. The Pinto of the chainsaw world. Gutless loud SOB's I've watched vibrate to pieces. 7900 is king. And 660

Skid steer, tractor, or some other machine?

Go with a bobcat a300 The all wheel steer will make it easier on turf with a finish mower deck. And tractors just cant do as much work if its not PTO related. Tractor loaders are good for loading. Bobcats are good for everything. Forget about the mini machine toys.

    Canola B&C oil?

Brassica napus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Final sentence under "Controversy" "Untreated rapeseed oil/Canola intended for human consumption can be used as an inexpensive "complete loss" chain and bar lubricant for chainsaws, however its efficacy has been the subject of considerable...

Son Saves Father Being Pulled Into Chipper

Ive been around big chippers hundreds of times, chipping everything from 20 inch pine to tangled messed of grapevines. I reach into the hopper all the time.. whatever. I'm conscious enough of my surroundings that im not going to get bit. I generally keep a hand on the feed reverse anyways...

    lets see them motorcycles

04-07 CBR1000RR's came with an under tail exhaust like a ducati. It looks plenty sharp as is :) I wouldn't want to make some sort of streetfighter creation out of it. As much as a slit magnet it is Its all I talk about so it ends up turning em off  I wanna do the bike anyways...

    Homemade contraption.

Too inefficient. Ive had a wood stove, I know moving the air around can wok but not for my layout. I need heated air forced through the ducts, not lukewarm air but hot.

    Homemade contraption.

I never went about it, but I can pass my 3/8 v groove structural test plates ;) I just need water & smoketight.

    Homemade contraption.

I don't even need pressure, ok maybe what 2-3psi to circulate the water. I wont be having much parasitic loss of the heat as the water only needs to travel 10 feet or so from heater to exchanger. I understand the concerns people are having. I'm trying to use a wood stove as my firebox to...

    Homemade contraption.

I can weld so ill be doing the fabricating. The idea is to supplement oil heat and just get heat into the forced hot air system. I was thinking pressure relief valves & such. Its possible to set up a system to work on convection but id rather set pumps up. In even of power failure a...

    Homemade contraption.

Im looking to make a homemade contraption of a heating system. I want to build a heat exchanger to heat water over the firebox. I'm thinking an older steel wood stove with an exchanger built off the flue on top of it. Pump water to another exchanger to make it work on an existing forced...

    Stacks on a Diesel pickup

Check what kind of motor the Audi's winning Le Mans races are running, diesel ;) Show me a better way to run 11 second quarters with a 7000 lb 4x4, I don't care what kind of motor the T bucket has. Glad to see I made my point with the filling your wives cars up with soot, the stacks have...

    Stacks on a Diesel pickup

So tell me, you winner guys which truck would you prefer to drive next to or behind? There IS a point to the stacks. Next time someone fills up your wife's minivan with soot taking off from a stoplight maybe it will dawn on you simpletons.
