Is the MS200 carburetor an embarrassment to Stihl engineering, or what?

So I pop out a plug then plug the hole? Seems redundant. Is there a port inside the plug that needs plugged or does the plug leak by? Just regular old JB weld? Thanks for the info! I knew someone here would know.

Is the MS200 carburetor an embarrassment to Stihl engineering, or what?

How do you do that ? Show me! I have six or seven 200t's and rebuilding the carbs doesn't work so i just buy new carbs.

    Carlton poly chain/belt help

You should have an adjustment knob on the side of the main housing that is used for ground speed adjustment. Just adjust ita and you should be good, as long as you have hydraulic fluid?

    "Greatwalloffire" anybody use one?

I have a traditional masonary fireplace and the BOSS will NOT allow me to install an insert. Don't start, it's freaking killing me mainly because I pretty much have unlimited firewood, kind of. I was looking at: 1. a fireback- thinking of just making one out of 1/2" plate, I have the tools just...

    Stump grinder teeth replacement?

I have a DeWalt charger that plugs in to my lighter. I can put a battery in it and it charges in about an hour. Kind of nice if you were gonna use a grinder on the jobsite. Next stop Alpine for a diamond wheel, damn tools almost as bad as saws!

    Carlton poly chain/belt help

Creeker, Thanks for the info. My outer belt is always the one that flys off. I think I might try to use it with just the 5 bands until it totally blows or just doesn't grip. The alignment was only checked in neutral not engaged so maybe it's out when it's in ? it was pretty tight had to push...

Carlton 4012 vs Bandit 2450; What I bought, AND, why!!

Not trying to highjack just looking for answers. I have a carlton 4012 with the 33hp Kubota. Last fall it over-heated, cracked head. Finally saved up enough this spring to fix it. Ground three stumps, main belt did something and chewed it up. Ordered new belt no dealer here, $100 plus. Ground...

    back in the stump business

Where I work there are lots of stump guys so the prices are no where near what you all are describing. Cut down a maple yesterday probably 30" stump $100 and I clean up the chips. The guy said he had another bid for the exact price and let me do it because I have worked for him before. I have...

    Is 120PSI vs 100PSI a big deal?

I tested the saw several times and never got the comp above 105. Pulled it a bunch of times trying to increase the reading, it would start low and climb slowly until max out. Readings right there around 100, it's a dial reading so it isn't exact but it is accurate enough. The saw that runs good...

    Is 120PSI vs 100PSI a big deal?

I have a Stihl 021 that won't run properly, sounds like it's starved for fuel. I try to rev it and it won't climb then trigger the throttle and I can get it to climb but it soon fails and bogs and dies. Well I rebuilt the carb and put on a new fuel line, same thing ! Well then I checked the...

    Punishing my 025?

Keep using the 025, they are great LIGHT saws and I do mean LIGHT. I have three of them and use them professionally in the tree business. They make great limbing saws with a nice sharp 16" bar and chain. As far as an 029/290, save your money. Keep looking for an older decent 034, 036/360 these...

    Problem with Bandit 1290H Chipper

Did you figure it out? probably by now I hope. My bandit with a JD diesel does the same thing under heavy load. Was it just the water separator? Mine ran fine for a couple jobs then on the last job started blowing white smoke and bogging down losing rpm's when it was put under a big load. I...
