Im sure you can also pack about a whole cord in the OWB too. Common guys let compare apples for apples. If I lit my who wood pile on fire it would probably last 40 too

well I disagree, mine goes all night plenty of coals left after 7 or 8 hrs. Its been down to 10 a couple of times sense I have put my oslo in and no problem keeping my 1600 ft house 72 or better all night. maybe you need new windows, or better wood, or something

40 hrs? I doubt it. is that a mfg claim or something you were told? The only way i could see any stove going 40 hrs is one that you could pack a whole face cord in. I could see my jotul weighing 2000 lbs and being the size of a car. 8 to 10 hrs seem to be the norm, more like 6 when its 0 outside.

your time is realistic. when I had my huskee splitter 2 of us could do a face cord an hour, thats a full cord in 3 hrs. last weekend 3 of us did 2 full cord in two hrs with my tw-5. you need 3 people to be efficient with that one.

nice splitter, I think JD green would be much classier. Not trying to be nosy, but how much $ in material, and hrs spent designing and building.

you are right on friend. Im afraid it will carry over to all wood burning situations. even indoor wood burners. I had a smokey inefficient wood furnace that I gave up for a few reasons, one was the fact that I do have neighbors. I went with a Jotul and my smoke and wood consumption has gone down...

same here in michigan, in livingston co we can transport wood as long as we dont cross county lines. that seems stupid as there are some areas that aent infected yet. anyway, ive got a lot of good firewood out of it

I would also like to add that witha 50 gal storage tank I never had my pop off valve go off. we allways tried to do a load of laundry in the morning and showers in the afternoon to posh cold water in to the storage tank. This is an approved method by several mfg's
