Is anyone else running one of these? Anyone who has will know about the ridiculous 5 second delay when switching from forward to reverse and vice versa. I know similar machines with no delay.
Has anyone modified there Bandit grinder to fix this problem in some way? So far this is a very...
Cool idea but I can't see this tool ever being accurate. Way to many variables when quoting. We run a semi-automated system to work out our prices which is based on time, equipment, dumping etc but you still need to take a look at the job...
We've run the Bandit 990XP for the past year and it awesome. Perfect mix between size and capacity for residential work. Only slightly heavier than the 90XP and waaay more productive. Had no problems so far. Ours has hydrolic crush which is handy but its hardly needed as the feed system works so...
Hi Kiwidiesel,
We recently purchased the Hansa C30 as well but so far don't like it. Have you had any problems with yours? We have been having problems with the feed system mainly but the whole machine does not seem to chip that quickly. Are there any tricks to getting it working better?
Thanks Isna, that's sort of what I was thinking. Are all your teams 7-8 guys or is that just for large jobs. I have found even 4 man teams to be too many for a lot of our jobs with the added inconvenience of not fitting into one truck.
How do you guys organise your saws, trimmers etc? We used to just have a selection of saws just that stayed in the truck for all jobs but as we've grown this does not seem to work as well for multiple crews. I am finding gear gets broken and no one knows who broke it, or crews will need a...
A walk-behind will fit in the hopper on most bigger chippers. Just raise the feed wheel on the chipper and wedge the cutter wheel of the stump grinder under it. A bit inconvenient but ok every once in a while
Each crew covers their variable costs plus a percentage of the company's fixed costs. With only one crew that crew must cover 100% of the fixed costs. With 4 crews each crew only needs to cover 1/4 of the company's fixed costs so the break even point for each individual crew in a larger company...
Looks good to me. lighter, more streamlined, probably other benefits too. We have a trial of this saw next week so will see how it goes. Either way you will have to switch to it eventually when the old 200s run out...
That's a good point Tom. We're still trying to gather some better photos. That was the most emergency-like one that I had.
The 990 is going great. Highly recommended.
Sometimes remove half fronds on pheonix palms when a certain amount of clearance is needed underneath. Better to cut the end off a few drooping ones than have to raise the whole crown several layers higher. Looks fine
Me and my guys do a lot of work in the rain. Has anyone got any tips to make it more bearable? We have the usual jackets and leggings. What do you guys all do in the rain?
