    McCulloch Chain Saws

Anybody from here get the SP-80/81 for $50.69? It was listed as a CP-70. Mark H. and probably others, noticed the exhaust bolt pattern. Quite a cob job of parts on that one.

Probably, sliding around in the back of a pickup. Great compression, it runs, looks complete (minus the chain brake), you're off to a good start. Remember its 40+ years old, probably had several owners, and many farmer mods. Super price on an 82cc Mac!!

Great pics Aarron!! It sounds like everyone made it home safe. For all Facebook users, check out all the pics/videos Shannon has posted. Did anybody get close-up pics of Terry's "slightly" modified Super 797?? A Very unique intake setup, made for a very hungry saw, very nice.

That saw looks NEW!!! No chain rash on the front H-bar, and the little sheet metal chain guard is still intact. Dont expect to win any races, with the gear-reduced chain speed and 1/2" chain, you will have lots of time to contemplate your next cut! Still, gear drives are great fun to play...

Thanks Thanks to Bob and family for hosting a great time. You folks have a beautiful place and a perfect setting for this type of event. I finally got to meet the people that make up this awesome site. I only made to down for the day, but it was totally worth the drive. Thanks again, Brad.

Damn, I thought I'd be healthy by now. But my wreaked back is telling me no, to the maxi-drive and then pulling on a full size heavy weight saw. I'll be missing the fun this time.

So we can bring saws that DON'T run?? I don't have a rig big enough!

Yeah, they look like new when done. He "adds" a bit of terminology the the model name like "Super 610" "Black Max" and such. He writes quite a lengthy description, and his sell prices reflect the hype.

How do you sleep at night??? Just kidding, that saw looks real clean, If it runs as good as it looks, someone will have a descent firewood saw. Jonny903 sells approx. one a month, for that $ and more.

That 1/2" chain is probably worth as much or more as the engine!! Go easy on the rakers and it should pull the chain. Or go 404 and keep the 1/2" chain for a gear-drive.

Mark, so far I am pleased with the performance. I plan to run two tanks of fuel, intermittent use, before I work it real hard. At last count I have NINE ten series saws! I originally bought this one (two for $25) as a parts saw. I just can't walk away from a cheapo 10-xx McCulloch.

Another 10 series This was a fun little project that I finished while waiting for parts to arrive for the 790.... A PM 55, stripped it down to the bare block and polished up the exhaust port, new rings, new seals, the crank bearings were as smooth as silk. No Mcc yellow paint on the...

Mac 790 Fast forward to two weeks later, parts have arrived. Two new crank seals, one crank bearing, new rings (oversize). Lots of cleaning on the cylinder, man that thing was carboned up. I plan to put it together with some parts from an older 740 that just sits of the shelf.

    McCulloch Chain Saws

hey Aarron, I need prob. two mac start handles, If you've got spares?? And sure i'll bring the Ol Super, It needs to get warmed up, I don't think Ive cut with is since last year! Homelite 850, coming your way..
  16. dieselsmoke

    McCulloch Chain Saws

The #2 saw isn't so perfect, nasty oxidation in the airbox, no recoil, no B & C, no compression, and lots of black carbon on the muff. side of the cylinder. The muffler is shot. But, on the bottom it's stamped "790" So this one gets to come apart. The end gap at the rings looked like .100 or...

    McCulloch Chain Saws

6 Cubes A neighbor found some yellow gold in his barn, I traded him a perfectly good older firewood saw that I just wasn't in love with, (and no Aarron is WASN'T that Homelite) for two top tank mccullochs. The nicest one is a 740, all of the parts were intact, I just had to clean, clean, and...
