    I've had two...both freestanding..... first one didnt have blowers......made great heat and easy too fire but liked wood. The one I have now has blowers.....still likes wood but heats my whole house and I enjoy cutting and working with wood. Mine is a model 102. Trouble free for years now...

    Thanks for the feedback guys...... The cylinder is 7' retracted (closed). The only reason I'm using it is the fact that I already have it. I think its a replacement cylinder for a excavator.....pretty heavy duty built! Most of this project will be built with used parts as I have access...

    Hey gang....I cut about 50 truckloads of firewood a year too supply myself, my neighbor, my dad, and the folks that own the farm I cut on. The farm is loaded with nice hardwoods but we only cut the junk trees that wont make sawlogs. Mostly black oak and sassafrass with the occasional red oak...

    We have lots of it....its definately cherry! We just call it "wild cherry".....burns really hot when its green....even hotter when its dry!!! Long burn and little ash.....great firewood!     Today's project "log hauler"

    I'll get some more pics. tomorrow of the details of it....that's the only ramp pic. I had....and with the log on the bank....it worked great...but when the logs are beside the hauler.....the steepness of the ramps lets the log want too scoot down the pipes......they need teeth too hold the log!.

    New Wood Hauler

    I had a 83 ranger 2wd 2.3 4 speed....great little truck with an 8' bed....I put 248 K on it before she blew....then we stripped the frame of all the drivetrain and added a 9" rear, dana 44 front, 302 with a c-4......but I sold the truck just before it was finished so I didnt get too play with it...
