325 i have a couple of cutters that run 372 xpws ported with both 20 and 24 inch bars using a 325 9 tooth square ground set up. i always thought they were crazy till i tryed the last saw i did for them and i gotta say i was very impressed. i wold worry about chain breakage on a 28 inch bar ?

50 sounds great if your doin it in your garage at home and working with a clean saw . lets not forget a shop has to pay its tech and all the goverments fees. at 65 to 75 per hour that dont seem to unreasonable

7900 cylinder ive never seen a casting look like that on any 7900 ive ever seen. i wouldnt think twice about sending it back. ie always been very impressed with the quality and consistency of the 7900. you should get what you pay for

181 281 throttle linkage is different on the newer 288 but you can change them from one to other

372 saw could be adjusted to lean and tour hearing the electronic rev limiter

orange top dolmar used the orange tops till about 2005. around that same time they changed the flywheel and module. other updates included black fuel line old one was green and would tend to brake in cold weather . i own both versions and i find the newer saws (black tops) to hae faster...
