    oregon 72

Off hand it looked like 325. I don't have the saw in front of me. I just needed to know what oregon 72 was. All of you answered 3/8 x .050. I have tons of that. It just didn't look right (plus it's safety chain which I don't use for the guys I make chain for). Thanks to all who replied.

    oregon 72

Can someone tell me the conversion from oregon 72 (that's all it says) to carelton? The chain i'm supposed to making goes on a j-red (don't know which model), is safety chain, and I believe it to be .325 but that low profile stuff (I think). Anyone help?

    Poulan 2150

Thanks Scott. I thought I had every chain known to man but 3/8 didn't seem right, 325 didn't seem right. The sprocket is worn, the clutch is shot, the bar is junk. I don't know what to tell the kid. I can fix it all but not sure what condition the rest of the saw is in.

to all of you who gave me helpful info, thank-you, Tom trees, your large picture with caption "like this" was no help at all. Were you trying to help me? If you were I don't get it.

How do I take pictures that don't exceed the 300kb that the site allows? I tried to post about 10 different pics and all say the same thing, too big!

whats the best 100cc saw to buy

I have a 395 Husqvarna. A little smaller than what you want but seems like a lot of saw for what I cut. Can't really picture needing a bigger saw. Guess you can buy an 880. When you aren't using it you'll have an anchor for your boat!

    Wood handling solutions

Comes from a company called Farmtek out of Iowa. Pretty simple to put up. Build two parallel walls and mount the poles on it. I think I did the whole thing for under $4000.

    Wood handling solutions

I'm always trying to handle wood more efficiently and trying to make life easier. This usually costs money. Good saws, a Cat backhoe, an old 2 ton truck with hoist, log splitter with log lift and a Farmi log winch have all improved my efficiency. The newest contraption is a small belt conveyor...

My hat's off to you guys up north

Gets Old When I was a kid I thought nothing of winter. Played in it and had all kinds of fun. Got a little older and cut wood, rabbit, fox and coyote hunted all winter. Now? Still doing same crap (a lot slower) and getting really tired of it. Can't wait to retire and head south for the whole...
