    Free to the right person

Sounds to me like another homeowner who wants to cut some kind of deal and try to get some free work done. Those deals never work out. Someone usually ends up getting screwed.

    Davey Tree Co.

Well I did run my own business for three years. I aquired a few people skills during that time. And thats why you have to take a bunch of general education courses in school like public speaking classes etc. That is a good point though. Nothing like telling someone your going to take the left...

    want to learn tree climbing

Buy yourself some climbing gear, a copy of the tree climbers companion and go find a tree in the woods, but dont do anything you dont feel comfortable doing. And dont try to cut any limbs off just yet, just climb. Make sure you know your knots and always use quality equipment. From the way you...

    Question on spur pads.

The aluminum pads work very well. I climbed on them for a couple of years. I weigh 220#'s. With a pair of 16" boots and the aluminum pads you wont even hurt your legs or feet at all. They are not very expensive either. I think they are like $85 or something. I would buy them before I spent all...

    Climber Interviews, OMG!

I see the tree industry as one that is fighting to overcome a stereotype of tobacco spitting rednecks trying to make a living. I personally believe that professionalism is important in any business including arboriculture. However, it can be taken into the overkill zone. Certification is a good...

Need advise for new saddle purchase

The most comfortable saddle in my opinion is the pennicle deluxe. Its around $400 but worth every pennie. Make sure you get the deluxe with the quick connect leg straps. But you definantly want a bosen seat saddle. they have a seat in them.

How long to wait on steady work?

Heck, in Texas you can fatally shoot someone who is trying to break into your neighbors house and they wont file charges in some cases. If I am wrong about that please let me know.
