Yup my guess as well. The galvanized is bad stuff for that close to the stove inside the house imo. I know plenty of people that use the stuff because its cheaper but they have regular wood stove black pipe out of the stove me included. Kansas

If you were to take the muffler off and look inside and see a tube running up to the outlet screen its a cat, its also got a baffle twords the back with holes in it you can also see, and they are ever so slightly heavier fwtw. Kansas
