    My homemade OWB

I would definaely be interested in seeing what he is doing, and getting the contact. I currently have a oil burner converted to burn WMO using the siphon system that also uses compressed air to help atomize the oil. Most people using that set up just convert a oil burner boiler and not...

    My homemade OWB

I was wondering if the 6 inch pipe stores the waste oil ( heating it as it passes underneath ) or was it actually firing the boiler in the actual chamber??

What do you remove snow with.

Funny thing about using this is the neighbor 1/4 mile away thinks we get twice as many blizzards than we actually get :)

    OWB radiators

This is the picture of the second fan set up, using a old furnace fan behind the Bus radiator. I got tired of experimenting with small heat exchangers. The first pictures show that the fan is controlled by temperature of the water, on at 130* off at 100* This furnace fan is controlled...

you can keep your OWB but mine is going!!!

Hi cjcocn I agree it can be burnt successfiully it is just sometimes people think they can filter it and fill a tank and run the line to the oil gun and your off and running. There is lots of tinkering and little things that need to be done before you can operate it in extremely cold...

    Modify OWB for better efficiency?

Hi Paladin My OWB is located inside an old semi trailor Van. Allows me to store wood and fill the boiler in sheltered area. I'm also working on a WMO boiler piped into the primary loop. This is also housed in the trailer. A shed is a great idea for any installation IMHO

Newspaper logs - anyone experimented w/ these?

I have been bundling paper using the strapping machine at work. They get compressed pretty tight with the machine. They burn for hours. from the outside in. I have broken apart a smoldering bundle of coated paper ( yea I know ) 12 hours later and it is as red as a lump of coal. The only down...

    Morning Fill

Thanks I fill the boiler twice a day and usually keep it set at 140 to 150 ish which has my water at 160. When I am there working in the shop I will stoke up the boiler and turn up the stat to 180 plus and reap the heat it produces. The biggest mistake I made was I thought the OWB in...
