    well they are going to get a little leaf drying. I cut them down mamorial weekend but I won't get a chance to cut them up untill next Sunday.

    The old timers around here say to let the tree sit on the ground with the branches and leaves still on it. they say that the leaves will draw the juices out of the tree drying it quicker. Is this true or just an old wise tail.

    I am planning to cut down some trees this weekend. Most are 8 inch or larger and at least twenty foot before you get to the branches. Just trying to figure how many trees i need to get 7 to 10 cords.

    Good free wood source

    A local saw mill near hear mills lumber for hardwood pallets. I get a bundle of oak slabs that is 3' x 3' x 6' for $25.00 loaded on my truck.

    Looking for grapple load in Southern, NH

    you guys that get free wood are lucky. I have friends that work on the tree crews I could have all the pine I can handle so I will properly end up putting in a outdoor wood boiler. Less than 600 a load not bad, Most of the loggers around here are getting around 700 for a 6 to 8 cord load...
