    New wheels

Good lookin machine. Like the front rack for haulin the tools. My wife and I have been shopping for a side by side. We've justified the cost vs. the amount of saved labor for hauling wood and lumber. Congrats, ya'll look good on it!!!!

    Saw and Work Pics

It doesn't have a chain brake Terence, just a hand guard. We didn't have chain brakes till a while after that, can't remember exactly when. Looks like yours didn't have the mount for the hand guard. That's a good lookin saw you have, how doe's it run?

mice in the air dry stacks

I like homelite's idea about keeping the stacks blown out with a leaf blower. Around here the rodents attract snakes, which I could do without. I try to keep my stacks high enough for my dogs to get under to control the dumb rodents anyway. For the smarter one's I use one of the live traps, like...

Another reason to use canola in your aux oiler

Hey BobL, we were researching for oil for our new deep fryer and came up with the same results. Doesn't smoke and burn at higher temps like some other cooking oils!!!:agree2:

    Chain unraveling tips

Yeah bobt, years back just before dark on Sunday night I realized I'd brought home a 3/4 pitch hydrasaw chain that needed a link took out of it. In the big rush it got put together inside out. Last repair link I had. Thank goodness it had a lot of wear and stretch in it. It gave in and flopped...

    New one on the rainforest......

Thanks tom, i believe we should take care of our forests for our livelyhood and our kids and grandkids too. we're a part of the whole deal too. and we're losing land just about the rainforest rate they talk about all the time.

    New one on the rainforest......

This one's to follow the ******one on the rainforest deal. This is my take on the whole deal. Yeah, I logged for 20 some plus years, doesn't mean I don't care bout the whole environment thing. Let me tell you my take on things. The people logging on the rainforest, yes the natives, aren't doing...

    Ash Beetle

    Ash Beetle

Yeah, they're setting traps to monitor here in SW VA, even checked firewood at the spring race at bristol. i heard they got started from imported pallets that hadn't been treated. that's a ##### since the US has a pallet treating policy. sounds a lot like the chestnut blight that wiped out a...

    Rakers...

Yeah, that's the way i like to check them. i do one side at a time and count the file strokes, ususally two or three, and tap the file out to keep it clean. plus keep the file level or down just a hair toward the back of the cutter in front if ya feel better bout it. one more thing, i've seen a...

    maxflow filters for stihl

How's it run with that stack on it? the max flow says you can use theirs without the cover but no velocity bout it. i use mine a lot in the brush and figure the foam wouldn't last long.

    Poplar near dad's house

Sharp eye there. that's what i suspected caused the demise of this tree. it appeared water runoff had carried soil downhill around the base of the tree. yeah, dad has a tractor with a front end loader too. didn't ask him!!!!!
