Dead Elm Fell On My House! (Landlord No Heed My Warning)

Been on him for 4 years now, wouldn't give me anything to take the tree down. Just left it. Fell on the house, finally, rent break and I'm a work from home arborist! Haha!

Finally took a stab at a short climbing video - have at me! (Caution - One Handing!)

Yeah it started that way, then the blue vortex wore out and they only had the "pink"? in stock. Hehe, my lanyard has the only captive eye carabiner I own on it - I'm a slow methodical climber and having two or three lines the same colour doesn't concern me much. The other climber I work with...

Dead tree fell on an adjacent tree

What kind of camera? Go pro or knock-off? I have a "Safari" brand, but it looks like this has a wider angle lens, more in the frame. Nice work!

Finally took a stab at a short climbing video - have at me! (Caution - One Handing!)

Just some minor roof clearance on a fair size norway spruce. Then a short poke over to a neighboring dead spruce to set it up for a quick vertical take-down. Although the rope was really not needed, we were barely able to pull it out of the vines! Had quite a bit of fun making this one, hope...

    Let's talk VT

I run the VT with 5 wraps and 3 braids, completely open system - both beaners attach to my rope bridge separately. 3/8" beeline e2e on the new samson vortex. I find no matter what combination of rope/e2e you use as long as you test it "Low and Slow" between 3 - 5 wraps is all you'll need, and...

    friction savers need input

Never use friction savers, but the leather rope savers are nice for keeping your rope clean while working those sticky ol' pines.

Reminds me of those trees you find sometimes when hiking through the bush. You know the kind? That you put one hand on and push over they're so far gone, video must be from Mother Russia.

ever had some chip stuck in your eye, real deep?

Either a scratch they missed or something still in there. I've had metal and wood particles in my eye, removed by a doc in the ER both times. Used a small drill to get it out... lol, scary as hell but it healed up quick after. I'd get a second opinion at the very least.
