This is the latest I recall for building the first fire in the wood stove. The heat feels soooooooooo good!!!! Next on the list was to fill the woodbox!!!! I love winter!!!

It's wood. When it has an extreme force applied to separate it, Newton's Law applies. An equal and opposite force will cause the wood to fly into your wood. Just had that happen last weekend. The wife is still licking my wound.

I do just because I love to cut wood. Plus my wife loves the warmth of the wood stove. A happy wife is priceless!!!!

The wood shed is full, the log pile is building and our woods is FULL of standing dead Ash. We're good.

Many of these dying Ash trees are placing us in danger!!! I cut one today that went exactly the opposite direction of my planned fall. A nice notch cut and wedges still didn't work. Fortunately it fell clear of other trees and made it all the way to the ground without damage!!!!

From the looks of it, I'm thinking it would make a great Mother's Day gift! And like you say, it has a host of other tools, plus a 5 year warranty!

Don't laugh too hard..... ;) But, have any of you tried one of these yet? I have plenty of saws, but I'm thinking of buying one of these for my wife for Mother's Day. After all, she is always wanting to use the lil Stihl to do some light trimming. I thought this might be good way to get her...

I have the Huskee 22 with the Briggs and have no complaints. However, The horizontal Kohler engine setup would be my choice without a doubt! Go for it!

I am thankful for all of the ash that is dying a slow death. It is a blessing for us wood burners!!!

I love to cut firewood for all the reasons above. PLUS----- When my hot wife gets even hotter because the woodstove is working its magic and she begins peeling her clothes off........Yeah, that's the main reason!!!!

I have used sycamore many times. Season it and burn it!!!
