    Environmentalists cost money

WRONG!!! You trip the head FOOL in charge "HFIC" and help him back to his feet! Then kick him where "the boys SHOULD be" and ask him if he has a permit to be in pain! Back to my soap box!

    Environmentalists cost money

The upside, stroking the ego of the "God complexed" higher ups made nature okay. Good thing they play God for us dimwits!

    Trauma care.

Those along with an XL BP "Blood pressure" cuff, most leg and arm bleeds will stop with direct pressure. A tourniquet has amputation problems. Most arterial bleeds are controllable with a compression bandage or direct pressure which is not released until the ER Physician's hand takes over...

    His Christmas Wish

First, tell 'em both Thanks from a jarhead! My dad landed at Fadala Bay in November 1942, with general Patton. He was with the US Army's 3rd Infintry division, all the way to Berlin at the wars end. I know he had air support from some of those ships!!

    Time for a metal detector

Well, FWIW; no sympathy for you guys from me. Ever see Gone With The Wind? What I have learned, usually the $ hard $ way$. Hit nails when felling...I hate yard and campground trees. Metal detector finds most tramp metals. Does NOT find glass or ceramic or rocks!!!! $$$$$...

    Environmentalists cost money

Great articles, dead on! Too much government of any kind is bad, too much of the tree huggers BS destroys all of the forest. By feel good means the beatles are well fed while all of our renewable resources go to spoils instead of it's wise use. I don't have much respect or use for the...

Need some help, Norwood log posts

I don't recommend placing the framing square anywhere near the "neatheands" rumor has it that it is painful! After dark tonight, I will post a few picks of mine on photobucket that show what I am suggesting. Do a manual search in the milling forum for "cants out of square", I have some...

Need some help, Norwood log posts

PM sent, give me a call. Slow answering via phone to post. Set a triangle/square on the flat of the orange crossbunk, yes you can square the round post.

Need some help, Norwood log posts

Once they are square, you will only need to check them once in a while. Don't know why the sent one of each kind, I use mine more than the orginial ones the mill came with. Because I can use them on odd shaped logs too. Often I will use a "sacraficial" board or small cant to line up odd...

    The Woodmizer was running again!

Thumbs up for the website and pens!! I need to market more of my cut/air dried slabs. Lots of Box Elder, Cottonwood, Russian Olive, WRC, Engleman spruce, and several junipers from Utah's deserts and forests. As well as urban trees. Quite a bit of the Quakie I mill goes to a local...

How to clamp small logs in bandsaw mill?

On the Norwood, I use two longer boards full length of the log plus a foot or so longer than the log with a matching length board under neath to sop port. The boards on either side of the log are sacraficial, and will be cut up also. Hope that helps. Kevin

    Made a few cuts

Those slabs are beautiful, should make great tops. As for "the astetically challenged" man testing the integrity of the camera lens.....looks a lot like my partner in crime that was featured with me on "Americas Least Wanted"! Great job and pics!!! Keep 'em coming! Kevin

    Pinon Pine

Pinion is very tough to split! It is even tough to mill on the bandmill, somewhere between the junipers (wrongfully called cedars) and Ut Mt. Mahogany. The woodworkers love it.

    Does anyone sharpen their dawgs?

I keep my dogs sharp for hunting, field trials and hunt tests. By training on birds. And with a group of serious hunters and trainers. Don't want my dogs to ever think life is dull.
