    Advice on saw for TSI

Glad you like your new saw. Nice to see the update. Don't know anything about the muffler on those, but Any modifications Might void your warranty, depending on the Dealer.

    Advice on saw for TSI

OK then. I had ASSumed from your original post that this was contract work on public land. Work that you would get paid for. I still think your 2152 will do this job as well as or better than anything you will buy new. However, I like those little 'micro saws'. They are handy. As I said...

    Advice on saw for TSI

I think you'll find the 2152 is actually in the 11.5# weight range, but no matter... If you are not fit enough to use a 2152 all day, you soon will be. If you complete the contract. I understand and sympathize with your wish to use as light a saw as you can get away with. However, you don't...

    Advice on saw for TSI

I have never seen nor handled a 271. It seems to get good reviews on several different arborist sites. A little searching here and other places would yield a lot of reading. For your needs, I like that it comes with a 3/8 lowpro chain. It is apparently the next-to-the-lightest saw you can...

    Advice on saw for TSI

Nothing. If you are pruning or bucking light stuff, well off the ground. All Day Stumping, even at 4" max dia, is Different. It puts a different load on the bar, and working close to the ground you are going to have to sharpen that dainty lil sucker (with all its many teeth) more than you'd...

    Advice on saw for TSI

You'd be carrying that weight on a shoulder harness, and you wouldn't be bending over all day. The main drawbacks would be price ($) and the 'specialized' nature of a clearing saw (no limbing or bucking, hard to cut eye-level vines, etc.).

    Advice on saw for TSI

I think you'll find the 241 is at least a full pound lighter than a 2152 in real world conditions. Nothing against the 2152, I have one and I like it a lot. In fact, if your saw is in good shape, it'll likely do a good job for you (no additional money spent). It's a shame you can't go buy a...

    Advice on saw for TSI

While I have no commercial experience on this exact type of work, here are some thoughts anyway. I like my 150 tophandle. It's a well made saw, and plenty capable of 4" wood. However, with only 1 bar stud (that screws into plastic), I would be hesitant to put it to work in a thinning...

Remorse with MS391, going to MS362M??

This is not intended to be at your expense, But that made me literally chuckle out loud a little. Thanks for brightening my day!

    562xp Hot start?

I have no practical experience with this model that would qualify me to reply to this thread, but going to anyway. :) Is there any possibility that the 562s that are exhibiting this hot start vapor lock might also have a (slight) air/ vacuum leak? Past discussions have shown that some examples...

Snellerized Saws Conquers the 75cc 372XPW

Maybe you noticed, maybe you didn't... Numa (Ironworker) is Not the one who brought Religion to this thread. I'm not in any way 'picking sides' in this sad little Train Wreck, other than to say it is a shame that there is so much lingering animosity for some. I thought it started out as a...

    I would very much appreciate a workshop/ repair manual for a 2004 Husqvarna 326Rx Trimmer/ Brushcutter. Thanks

    my customer service sucks

Honestly, dude you're trying too hard. These folks that expect you to bend over backwards for them are just looking to bend you over. If you are going to give stuff away, at least do it in the most painless way possible.

Which used professional grade saw has less vibration and good parts availability?

Differences in chain ( and the way it's sharpened) most likely will affect felt vibes. KWF-online ( a reputable Euro testing firm) tests and publishes Vibes as well as other criteria. Once you've narrowed down several models you can google "kwf test ms261", "kwf test 550xp", etc. Different...

Common man looking for a chainsaw on a budget

The practice of thrift begins with the purchase of quality. Don't take me too seriously, however. Some have had trouble with/ just don't like the M-Tronic or AutoTune saws. It's your money, spend it however you like.
