Finally pulled the trigger on a new stump grinder

I ordered it specifically without the Rayco teeth and ordered and installed the Greenteeth myself. I have lots of experience with Greenteeth from my first machine and absolutely love them. Some of the best part is I can use a drill press at work and use my own grinder with a green silicone...

Finally pulled the trigger on a new stump grinder

I ground out a 35” stump in less than 15 minutes. Once I get used to this machine I should easily be able to do something similar in less than 10 minutes.

Finally pulled the trigger on a new stump grinder

Hey ya old fart I gotta start back in the game somewhere and doing a few single jobs will start to get my name out there in this new area I’m in. LOL ya not bad at all!

Finally pulled the trigger on a new stump grinder

From what I have seen and heard from lots of dealers is that the new grinders are just as fast and efficient or just slightly less than the machines costing much more. I can still easily get in and do the backyard residential jobs and still have plenty of muscle for the light commercial work...

Stump grinder and mini in 1 trailer

I’m going with a 16’ dump trailer with the hideaway ramps and put the equipment in the bed(grinder and mini skid) as needed. Unless you’re doing a large amount of clean ups at a time there should be plenty of space for a couple yards of chips leftover even with the equipment loaded and if there...

Finally pulled the trigger on a new stump grinder

I’ve seen a few smaller used ones for around $8k and I’m looking to add 10-20% for taking the chips if I can get it and I’m also looking into a 16’ dump trailer in the future. In the meantime I’ll just fill the plastic 55 gallon drums I got for cheap and haul them to and from the stump to my...

Finally pulled the trigger on a new stump grinder

No, didn’t get the remote I was told by my dealer it wasn’t an option for some reason on the machines they had at that time available from Rayco. In hindsight I wish I had insisted on having a machine with it, oh well, next time I guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Finally pulled the trigger on a new stump grinder

Thanks for the tips brother. Hey do you offer chip debris haul off? I’m seriously considering getting a used dingo in the future to do it and make things much easier and faster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Have you shopped at Duluth Trading Company?

I’m extremely hard on clothes, especially jeans, and picked up a couple pair of their fire hose flex pants. I’ve had them for over 2 years with regular use at my job as a union crane/equipment operator and they barely have any wear showing at all. Are they pricey, ya but like many have already...

Getting back into full service stumpin.

After I graduated from college and completed my final enlistment in the military(ironically about only a week apart) I sold all my equipment and chased oilfield money in North Dakota for a few years, met my girlfriend while I was out there and moved over to Minnesota about 4 years ago. We bought...

Finally pulled the trigger on a new stump grinder

Well I sold my still almost new 2016 Can Am side by side that had been sitting idly too frequently and used those funds as my down payment. It’s going to be a significant learning curve with operating expenses this high now but I’m supremely confident I’ll make some great money with this machine.

Getting back into full service stumpin.

Well guys, here I go again with a resuming my stump grinding business. I bought a brand new Rayco RG 45 yesterday and I’m just waiting for it to be delivered next week. It’s one of the very last models available with the 44hp kubota tier 3 diesel. Wish me luck!
