    the all aussie dribble thread!

You must be tired from keeping a conversation for four going 460, I can't help but think your're the four identities on AS......................................all day!!! For the record, 45yrs married to one woman, four kids, 6 grandsons, your inference is insulting to me as an average Aussie...

Good work chippy if indeed it was you that reported them. My intention today was to do the same, but someone beat me to it. The lowbrow sociopathic drivel and language is a disgrace to the average Aussie, I left the forum for that reason, and so did many others. Do you blokes notice something...

    1. Squeezing it firmly by hand, mid way between sprockets, mine deflects about 1/2" ea. side. Orig belt 650+ hrs so is going well. I have a home invented thingummy that checks that the sprockets are orientated OK, I'll take a pic later and put it up. 2. Purges, usually by no more than 20 pumps...

huge Oak limb - tricky cuts

G'day ST&L, if that site is steeper than it looks, and your OP suggests it might be, just be careful of it coming downhill if you're working on the down hill side. That top fork on the left of pic could get you if it went wrong and rolled 180 deg. when the lower part of the fork on the left of...

I have a Stump Grinding Question.

Add - large chainsaw for cutting off high stumps. The reason everyone is saying "high maintenance" - compared to a lot of machines they are. Your decision, good luck with it :)

I have a Stump Grinding Question.

After stump grinding for eight years I still look at the lawn contractors and think how nice it would be to just have a lawn mower, edger, blower to maintain/replace/run. Stump grinders use stuff, cutters/ shoulders/air cleaners/belts/hydraulic oil-filters-drive motors/ main engine...

Pic showing legs on ramps, they contact the ground on lowering, works well and takes weight off all the other things. Bought the machine new, now has about 650hrs. The multi V belt from engine to jack shaft is the worst thing on the machine, must have replaced that every 100-150hrs on...

Apols, took a while to get back, comments are mostly a rehash of prev. quality posts of which there are many from experienced operators/owners. :) As said previously, idle down, then disengage or it will throw that belt, yes will spin for a while, bury it in pile to stop it, safest thing to do...

Just going to look at it for a couple of days Vince, might not venture across just yet .. lol I leased a small irrig. farm in 1990 when the township of Boisdale was inundated with an Avon River flood. http://www.abc.net.au/local/photos/2015/07/03/4266791.htm Actually, the second pic in that...

Congrats on the purchase dbtg, it will be a very good all rounder that is fairly good to get into smaller house yards and thru' 3' wide gates with singles wheels on it. Quad wheels, I guess you mean it only has singles at the cutter end - if so the first thing, is to get the duals on it, it'll...

Spot on S441, my experiences also to a "T". The one x skip square file full chisel I've owned cut extremely well, and still did when I round filed it after finding the sq. filing to high tec. on the job. Could have stuck learning the sq. filing but didn't bother. Something about filing...

Sharpening Stihl RS with round file

I reckon you will do it and be happy with the result, I bought a 404 76d/l square file skip chain some years back, decided sq filing was a pita so round filed, it went extremely well. Be keen to hear how it goes for you.
