    Need engine troubleshooting help

I still think you have an ignition issue. I have seen motors with enough spark to activate a light, but not enough to fire. To me, the fact that it won't pop with starter fluid is diagnostic of ignition issues.

    8.2hp 30.5cc rc engine...

20,000+ RPM's and Nitromethane make tons of power at the expense of reliability.

    Masterminded or snellerized

I have a 346XP that #### did and it absolutely screams. I also have a Makita 7901 that Randy did and it is a beast. I have nothing but good things to say about both of these guys. I will eventually get Terry and Brad to do saws for me as well. Hey, I like a little variety:clap:

    Tanaka Pole Saw

I have a tanaka TPS-260PF that I've worked the crap out of for 4-5 years. Every bit as good as Stihl and Husqvarna.

Need advice on which pole saw to buy

I have a Tanaka TPS-260PF that has been gray. I've logged a ton if hours on it and have done nothing to it but sharpen chains.

Zama carb issue on Stihl weedeater

I agree. I have all but given up on rebuilding the small zama carbs. You can usually get a new carb for $5-$10 more than the rebuild kit.

    Domar 5105

Good saws from what I hear. Before you buy it, pull the muffler and check the piston condition. These have been known to be set up lean from the factory.

I just had to have one... Small mount and all!

Is that the same as a Husky 562XP?

Husqvarna Rancher 460, easy to use, starts easy reliable, but...

I see your problem, you are using one of those Chinese Stihl knockoffs. It's a dead giveaway when you see Stiel on the side of the saw.:msp_wink:

    Just did

    Craigslist Find

It's not a chainsaw, but it is still a Husky: It has been sitting for about 3 years, so the carb is gummed up pretty badly and the pull cord is too short. I pulled the muffler and the p/c look pristine. Not bad for $80

    Need strato help

I'm not an expert by an means, just a backwoods hack. But looking through the schematics on a strato engine and the dual throat carb, here is my guess. I would guess that you have trash blocking one of the air passages. This would explain the unusually high pressures through the strato port...

    Bought the bullet!

Congrats on the new saw purchase! Growing up, my dad would only run Husqvarna, so that's all I knew. I knew about Stihl, just never looked into them. Once I found this site, I learned about Dolmar, Redmax, etc. I am now completely brand-neutral, as you can see from my signature. I think...

    Dolmar 5100s refused warranty

I have a Dolkita 7901 and have had nothing but good service from it. However, seeing all that the OP is going through with his saw, really disappoints me in Dolmar. This should be handled at the dealer level and not require corporate intervention. All the while, the OP is without a saw. Poor...

Nice job Mitch! I noticed the Husky logo on the cylinder. Is Mahle no longer making the cylinders?
