I like to use turpentine but the real stuff may be kinda hard to find these days. Muffler/exhaust shops deal with this issue on a daily basis and might be the best bet for someone not so mechanically inclined.

It should never have had gaskets between the manifold and head in the 1st place, if the manifold is warped it should have been resurfaced, if it wasn't warped and gaskets were used it probable is now. Those steel and asbestos gaskets that come in rebuild kits need to be discarded, they shrink...

I tell ya, I eat a lot of taters and had for weeks been cutting eyes and putting them out in the mounds about once a week and had just about given up when they all started popping up about the same time. Right now most of em have pink or purple flowers on em.

I didn't know to trim them either and mine are way past due. Boy my taters are kicking some serious ass though.

I'm wanting onions the size of your fist or bigger but mine planted from bulbs don't look like they're ever gonna make it.

I know if you don't already have em pots can get expensive but you can make your own and just go to bigger containers and keep them all way up to matutity if you need to...just don't forget the drain holes.

Well the rain last night beat what few tomatoes I had flat on the ground and the weather channel says 41 f overnight so it lookn like a replant on them. Taters are doin okay thou, wish I had went ahead and planted some carrots now as cool as it's been.

I tell you what thou, I get the one that are on the vine in a package, usually 4 cause they seem to stay fresher longer and because I can't open the dam bags...They kinda small but seem to taste better...I planted 13 seedlings and all survived and other than one plant looked identical in size...

I always liked the field corn my grandpa grew better than the sweet corn from our garden. He grew it mostly as a cash crop but also as livestock feed.
