    372XP advice

Try cleaning it up, the only spot I see that would give concern is boxed in red below, I cannot tell from the pic if it is transfer or if it is scoring. If it's just transfer then you are only looking at a piston and rings, If there is scoring then you are looking at a kit. I'm guessing the...

    372XP advice

I wouldn't order the kit yet. Wait until you get it all apart and can take a better look at it before deciding what you need and don't need is my recommendation.

    372XP advice

Ya, I bet he did. Heck I would dispose of it for you as well and just to be a really superduper nice guy I will pay for the shipping to me so I can "dispose of it" for you. Your money and your business to do what you want but I would be walking away from that "dealer". Like what was said above...

    372XP advice

$108 for AM vs $150 for OEM, it's a no brainer. Pay the extra $40 and get an OEM if a PC kit is needed and yes I use AM kits on my kit saws. I agree with the others if there is pitting it was the manufacturers fault but I will say this is the first time I have heard of a modern cylinder getting...

    365/372 kit builders thread

O-ring on clutch side. Coil since Afleet warned about them. Had to shim oil pump. OEM intake boot and clamp. Raised oil path to line up with bar/bar plate. All OEM on brake since it was junk. Put Echo fuel tank vent since mine pulled a vacuum. OEM muffler since kit isn't legal for USFS. Echo...

    Need help with 372x torq

Also after installing new bearings, seals, crank, piston and cyldinder did you do a pressure vac test?

    Need help with 372x torq

I was looking to see if someone changed it out, leave the blue on it. Spark plug? have you put a new one in? getting a good spark in atmospheric pressure and getting a good spark under compression is two different things. Trying to rule things out is why I am asking.

    Need help with 372x torq

So what have you done with the carb? rebuild/cleaned or ran it how you got it? Backfire is a timing issue, what color is the coil, blue?

    Newbie with Echo CS-590

There's going to be two red limiters around where you adjust the carb settings H and L setting, they have tabs that keep them in place so you have to spin them until the tabs line up with the slots in the carb housing and using a screw threaded into the center of the red limiter caps you pull...

How to discern *and* do a timing advance? And...what of plugging a decomp-valve with a LONGER bolt, to boost compression?

One thing a lot of people don't talk about on the 590 is the under square design Echo implemented into the engine design. This design was setup for torque and most people that have this saw, If it's tuned correctly, will say it's a torque saw rather than a high rpm saw. I did some mild work on...

    Easy big gains for CS-590?

I do port work on my saws and for a few others but in the end on my saws keeping the filter clean, oil paths to the bar clear, good carb adjust and sharp chain is more important to me. I don't port my saw aggressive, I'm just looking for a good woods port on my saw when I'm done.

spark plug electrode broke off 562xp

What spark plug did you replace the original with? also where did you get the plug? Only reason I am asking is I am hearing there are a lot of fake NGK's, Autolites and others showing up on Amazon and Fleebay so I only buy my plugs local now. Could have been an OEM, not arguing that just curious...

Echo cs590 Timberwolve carb adjustment screws?

Once the limiters have been removed even after putting them back on it can be a pain to get the screwdriver to line up with the slots on the jets. I ended up not only cutting the tabs but opening the hole up where the slots are in the limiter caps so the screwdriver passed through and allowed me...

Echo CS-490 DEAD after 11.5 months?

Todays oils are a LOT better than the old oils and don't need to be mixed so heavily, To much oil in the mix actually causes problems because now you get carbon build up that can damage the piston (especially at the exhaust port) even Homelite had in their manuals to pull the muffler cover and...

Thoughts on the Echo CS-7310P chainsaw?

Been there, done that. Usually cut just below Soapstone (8200 ft elevation) to up around Mirror Lake (10,400 ft elevation) also down around Skyline drive and up above Logan. I've used from a Husky 41 to Stihl 046 and been able to tune them all to run right for those elevations, yes there is a...

    Husky 254 xp saws

This isn't a Soap Opera it's a bunch of BS. I wish the mods on here would make it a rule that if you want to sell something on here that you have to put a price on it. All these guys are trying to do is use this place like an online auction and hope they can get a price war going between...

    fuel vent Jonsered 2065

Make sure to get OEM on the brake band, a lot of the aftermarket ones don't line up right and bind. On my China build 372xp I ended up replacing everything with OEM on the chain brake. I was able to modify the knockoff stuff to work but it ISN'T worth the hassle.

Where is bar oil tank air vent hole on Husqvarna 440...

What shape is the worm gear in? https://www.partstree.com/parts/husqvarna-544212401/ What are you meaning the oil is coming out on the opposite side? is the oil hose in good shape? looking at the pic if the hose was worn it would allow the oil to leak where the piston pump goes through it, but...
