    What's it gonna cost me?

Stihl dealer is closed, i got an ms441 with a basically junk muffler. What is a new one gonna be? Also, any good methods of removing a broken off muffler bolt from the cylinder? I'll probobly have a machine shop do that anyways. Jon

Double checking on an 066 flywheel.

I picked up an 066 that was siezed for $100 the other day. the crank rod bearing is shot, and the intake side piston skirt has a huge hole in it. Anyways, they tried to turn it over with a screw driver in the flywheel, and broke off about 3 fins in a row. I know that it technically will still...

    stihl 034

Sounds like a carb rebuild is needed. I've had them act like that, and a carb kit did the trick

    husky 350 carb settings?

I've got a buddy that gave me 3 husky 350 saws that didn't run. I got one of them to run, but the carb needs adjusted badly. What is the factory setting for L and H? Is it 1 out or 1.5...etc I just need a good starting point. Thanks, Jon

    064 kick back?

Yeah, kickback was a poor choice of words on my part. I know what a tuff saw to start feels like. This one is different. There is definitely something off in the timing in my opinion now.

    064 kick back?

Yeah, it wants to rip my fingers off. I bet that happend when they rebuilt it. At least I hope that is all. I'll check it out in the morning.

    064 kick back?

I've just aquired an 064. The saw on the outside looks incredibley clean. I pulled the muffler, and it looks like the exhaust port has been opened up, and the piston was cleaned up after a scuff job. It appears to have new rings. I think the compression feels ok, but not the greatest...

    064 Rebuild

I'm still waiting for my 064 to come in too. It has low compression, so I will either rebuild it back to original or do a bb too. Can't wait to see the results.

    slipping/worn clutches

Shouldn't hurt anything, but you can get a new clutch for less than $30 from baileys.

Anybody ever heard of this brand. I may buy a pair, unless someone has something bad to say about them.

    to rebuild or not?

Alright, alright, quit hijacking the dog gone thread. You guys have made your point. BTW, Meteor is made in Italy, And I'd buy one again.

    to rebuild or not?

Ran it at WOT, My edt 8 was reading 14860 RPM's. I couldn't really tell if it was 4 stroking or not. High screw is turned out to the limiter. I'll have to remove that. Although spec is 14k + - 1000, I'd like the RPM's to be under 14000 to stay on the safe side. DO you think that sounds...

    to rebuild or not?

I got the new clips from tony, and got it all put back together. After pulling it over a few times, I checked the compression. 180 pounds!!! I just ran it a little bit, let it warm up, blipped the throttle a few times. I'll heat cycle it a few more times, and then get it into some...

    to rebuild or not?

Yes, I did check all of these except for weight. They are nearly identical with the acception of the skirt. All they needed to do was put a bigger taper at the base of the skirt to make room. The skirt is also slightly wider on both the intake and exhaust sides (more room for porting).
