    5.2L Throttle Body

Sorry about that. The TB is for a Dodge Dakota. I thought that anyone that had one would know what the 5.2 liter would fit.

    Stihl 025

SOLD. He could not get all the parts he needs for that price. He has been using an 017. My mother has a large wooded lot and that small saw just don’t work out for him. Ship it out when the money order arrives. Thank you Brian.

    Stihl 025

My younger brother has an 025 that my father gave him. It was either dropped or ran over by someone on the crew. It needs the rear handle replaced. If anyone has a parts saw or would sell just the handle assembly please e-mail me.

    026 Hard Starting Cold

Thank you again Stilhtech. You nailed it. Air leak on the flywheel side. I used the impulse line to blow air into the crankcase (not with a compressor) and could hear the leak. Brought the saw to the shop and they confirmed it. They replaced the seal and double checked the carb for me.

Anyone ever seen one of these?

Re: Ha! I doubt it very seriously. It has two blowers on it and the second drum looks like it only processes the chips a second time. I have run a 16” drum chipper with a Ford six cylinder since I was a kid and only got it clogged up once that I remember. I think that chipper would produce...

    026 Hard Starting Cold

Thank you Stihltech. I put a new fuel line on so it is good. After replacing the tank I put fuel in it and it fired up with 2 or 3 pulls even with dry lines and carb and it ran fine. Next day I fired it up and notched a pine. Before I could move around to do the back cut it started acting this...

    026 Hard Starting Cold

After checking the impulse line and its connections, that the carb inlet needle is not sticking, cleaning all the holes in the carb and air screws, and replacing the diaphragm, what else could the problem be? The saw needs a shot of fuel in the carb to get started and will not idle after starting.

    What's on yur saddle?

I prefer 3/4” electrical tape as my “first aid kit”. It is easier to get your fingers to bend than the wider duct tape. I do keep a 1 1/2” roll just in case. Justin, I have been chaining up a 10’ length of 3/8” regatta braid that I put an eye splice in to put on my saddle. Every time I go to...

Glen cries in every single thread about the size of attachments as though he does use them. I am not the only member that does not appreciate the way he insists that everyone else change to fit him. He claims he has great equipment and operating system yet he connects them to the rest of the...

Yes there is John. You have to, along with all the rest of us AS members, change our ways of doing things to make Glen happy. If he would dump the AOL dial up and Windows 3.1 we could all get along much better.

    What's on yur saddle?

Butch, how do you walk from tree to tree without tripping on your lanyard? Anything over 10’ and I have to hold it while walking. 10’ lanyard, Zubat, figure 8, water bottle (my design), friction saver, Petzl Shunt (for footlock or double TIP), pulley with biner and braided loop runner, saw...

    Need an 026 Parts Saw

Big thank you to Mike for sending the tank over. Picked it up after work today. I can say I have a California Special 026 now. :D I got yelled at by the lady working behind the counter at the saw shop. She said I needed to have more information regarding the saw before I come in because...

    Need an 026 Parts Saw

You would be surprised at the reactions from guys when they see the chips fly from that 026. The first thing I hear is “it must be modified”. I just tell ‘em I keep the chain sharp. ;) Even with the patched up tank it is still going. I will feel much better when I get the new used tank from...

    New Chain

The thing is that when I placed the saw on the counter at the saw shop I asked for the kind of chain that was on it. Right before I left I looked and there was a low kickback chain in the box. So I asked for a real chain. When I got home to install the chain sure enough a low kickback link was...
