Grinding down depth rakers. Bad idea?

Over the years, I ened up with a small pile of low kickback chains. Grind down the anti-kickback "rakers", file the rakers WELL, and they cut great.............. Of course, I run old Macs with lots of torque, so they don't have a problem pulling a chain through wood.........;) Casey

    Mac fuel lines

I've bought a number of fuel lines for my 70's era Mac's over the past year. Some have shrunk and become brittle, others didn't fit tightly where they pass through the fuel tank wall and leak right out of the box--I just wish I could remember what brand they were. A few I know were Stens, but...

    First chainsaw I used

I learned to fell, limb, buck, block, and cuss with a Pro 10-10 and a SP60..... Dad sold the Pro 10-10 and bought a SP70. I still have the SP60 and 70--they both run well--the SP 70 was seldom used. M35's will go on ebay relatively cheap. Casey

ethanol free gas, 'er, gas free ethanol?

In the early 90's, when Colorado had ethanol blend in the winter, and straight fuel in the summer, my 91 Chevy with the TBI 350 would lose about 1 mpg during the winter........ Outside of the I-25 corridor on the Front Range, ethanol blend isn't required, but the refineries in Denver all make...

    Splitting wood with an ax.

One time....272 stitches among 4 hounds--the cougar holed up in a crevice where the dogs could only go in one at a time. Luckily, we had a vet from the Florida panther study with us taking tissue and blood samples for their own research project. By the time we arrived on the scene, two of the...
